My son, Maung Myo Myint

Your mother came home this morning, very calmly. Your mother kept telling you not to write too much and not to try too hard. My father kept telling you not to write too much and not to try too hard. I sent you to college because it is a place of knowledge and knowledge, just like a university, so I sent you to get as much knowledge as you can. If I were to give you my hand, I would have grabbed the knowledge that was given to me at once. Don't be so stubborn as to say that I don't want this knowledge yet. Because my father wants you to get your share. When you are still seeking knowledge in the world, there is nothing to be ashamed of. All you need to do is to collect and store whatever knowledge you find like a bag of fools. Knowledge is also spread around you like the world. However, you will soon realize that you can only get as much knowledge as you want to collect. If you don't want to learn, even King Indra himself would come down from the sky with a big ear and teach you. Don't worry about this. Just relax. Well.. except for knowledge, everything else is like a lock that can't be obtained whenever you want it, and it's difficult to use.

When you were my age, I didn't have the opportunities you have now. But you probably won't have the knowledge you have. As the saying goes, "People are all equal," but the way people benefit from things is very different. Some people don't have a penny, so they work hard to earn a little from the millions around them. They learn about the depths of money and the value of money, but some people, who have inherited forty to fifty thousand from their parents who have carefully saved up, don't you think that they earn forty to fifty thousand a year? They use money like water and don't fully understand the value of money.

Some people come to understand the value of truth by associating with liars. Others come to understand the value of truth by going to the temple on the day of the festival and listening to the Dhamma. Some people learn the lesson that they experience various kinds of suffering because of drinking alcohol because their father is an alcoholic, while others come to understand the evils of alcohol because they are the children of good mothers. Some people gain knowledge by reading newspapers, going to public libraries, and interacting with people. Others gain knowledge from professors and books. The main thing is to focus on how to get knowledge. After seeing a product, who cares about the paper that is wrapped around it? This paper should also be thrown into the trash, as usual. Like everyone, the main thing is the product in the work. Even this product is good as soon as it reaches the chef from the kitchen, The evil will be different at once and the royal form will appear.

I will continue to talk about the kitchen. For example, you can cook pork with mango and curry paste. You can also cook pork in red oil with lots of onions and chilies. It doesn't matter how you cook it. But the pork you cook needs to be good. If the meat is bad, then no matter how you cook it, it will be delicious. Even if the meat is cooked by a diviner, bad pork will not taste good. Similarly, if you are a person with a bad immune system, no matter how you cook it, you will always show a rotten pork character that cannot be corrected.

To be honest, education must first improve the character of the person seeking it. The second thing is to give real education. With these two things in mind, I was very sad when my father decided to send you to university. I don't want you to think that when I write this, my father wants to give you advice and is just trying to teach you. Because I know very well that if a young person is naturally resilient, he will not be able to be guided by others and will improve himself according to his own strengths. And these young people who are resilient have the courage to find the right path by simply pointing out their mistakes.

So I remember my father. When I was young, I was not as foolish as other young children. Even the monk U Sumana, whom I worshipped, always thought that I would leave the realm of samsara and cross over to the worldly realm. That is why, when the sermons were crowded, the monk would always ask me if I did not want to be a human being and escape from the cycle of samsara. My father had a greater or lesser desire to escape from the cycle of samsara, which was like a cow going around and around. But to be honest, I felt very embarrassed when I told him about going from a human being to a deity. My father's story at that time was very similar to a story told by the Sangha Sayadaw. In the past, there was an old man. This old man would visit seven or eight houses every day. Even at the end of the Buddha's life, he had to reach the path of Nibbana in a short time. Before attaining Nibbana, he prayed loudly, "I want to experience the wealth of the gods many times, my lord." So, one day, one of the old men, after hearing this, put on his divine robes and went under the altar to hide before the old man's presence. Well, since the Buddha's worship was over, he also prayed that he would attain Nibbana in a short time. Suddenly, he came out from behind the altar, grabbed the old man's hand, and said, "Father, if you pray that you want to experience the wealth of the gods every day, I can't stand it, so I have to call you myself." So the old man, with trembling knees, bowed to the deity and said, "I will follow you, deity. But I need you to give me a moment to consult with me." He ran downstairs. From that day on, the old man never prayed loudly again. My father was the same way. He was very afraid to say in public that he wanted to go to Nirvana, let alone go to Nirvana.

Indeed, if a young man is a good son,
