Mae Rupa is a very eloquent person.
Long ago, on a mountain range in northern Myanmar, there was a vast and magnificent golden city.
The king of that golden land had a daughter. She was loved by the people of the land because of her good looks, beauty, and wisdom. Her name was “Mae Rupa, the eloquent one.”
Mae Rupa speaks with great eloquence and elegance. But no one can defeat her. Anyone who argues with her always loses.
The news of the princess spread far and wide. She became famous in every land. Wise men came to test her skills. After talking and watching, they praised her and left.
The King was very proud of his daughter. Pride increased his pride. Therefore, he issued an order.
"The one who can win over my daughter, the eloquent Mae Rupa, will marry her and divide the kingdom in half. The one who loses in a conversation with my daughter will be punished by having one ear pierced with a hot iron."
When they heard the news, kings, princes, ministers, nobles, and wealthy people from all over the world came. When they saw the princess's beauty, they could not help but speak.
"If you can talk to him, fine, but if you have to have your ears pierced, so be it."
There are many such people. Some of them are skilled in speaking. However, the eloquent Mae Rupa could not speak well and had to return with one ear injured.
One day, an order issued by the father of the eloquent Mae Rupa reached the land of Dakshina Deepa.
The king of that land had seven sons.
The seven brothers, having taken leave of their father and mother to speak to the eloquent Mae Rupa, set out from the country. They traveled through forests and climbed mountains, determined to reach Mae Rupa.
The youngest prince was very curious, so he picked up a bag he found on the road.
"Brother, what are you doing to make a mess?"
The elder brother was annoyed. The second elder brother scolded, "He's just a very curious boy. Leave him alone."
Hearing the scolding and whining of their older brothers, the younger brothers also echoed and became angry.
The one who criticizes will criticize, the one who ridicules will ridicule.
"It's just as useful as it is useful, my dear, but remember how tiring it must have been to carry this child."
With a sweet excuse, Prince Htwe picked up the bag and slung it over his shoulder.
The next morning, as they continued their journey, they found a dead chicken by the side of the road.
None of the six princes looked down. But Prince Twe happily picked up the dead chicken and put it in his bag.
"Hey, little brother... leave me alone, you worthless corpse."
When the younger brother scolded him, the other brothers would also stop him, saying, "Leave it, leave it.. It's hard for a younger brother to say that."
"Your Majesty, if it doesn't harm you, please take it."
"Well... it seems useful."
"It's already difficult with my younger brother."
The elder brother gave in with a sigh. The younger brother said, "My younger brother." Soon, something was raised again.
"Hey, little brother, did you do it again?"
Naung Daw Latt turned around and shouted.
"Naung Naung said... What are you doing, brother?"
As he was about to say that, a new item arrived in his bag.
That thing is a little string. The younger brother talks about it when his brothers see him. When they only see him in passing, he talks about it and does it in a strange way.
In this way, I added another twisted goat horn, a spoon, and a large piece of string.
Not long after, the seven princes, brothers and sisters, arrived at the Golden Land, where the eloquent and beautiful Mae Rupa resided.
When they learned that they had come from the southern part of the country with great difficulty, they were granted immediate access to the princess's presence.
The princess's palace was too small for her, and the doors were still closed.
"It's so hot and steamy, huh?"
The elder brother was moaning. He wasn't talking to Mae Rupa, he was just moaning.
"The fire is still many times hotter than it is now, sir."
Mae Rupa immediately responded. The elder brother did not respond to the retort, as he did not intend to speak. He was lost because he was trying to think of what to say. Therefore, in accordance with the original order, his left ear was pierced with a hot iron.
The five brothers of the elder brother were no different. They too were crushed by a chariot and lost. They too had their left ears pierced. | The last person was the younger brother.
He had prepared himself mentally so that he would not be like the six predecessors. He even used the same words that all six predecessors had used. There was no new word from Mae Rupa either.
"The fire is much hotter than in this room."
“Yes, if that’s the case,” the younger brother took out a dead chicken from his bag. “If that’s the case, I want to roast the dead chicken.”
A modest woman might be speechless. However, a eloquent lady has plenty to say.
