How to boost morale
Employee morale is a key factor in the success of a business. It is about how employees work to achieve their business goals. Normally, you would think that this motivation would be something like wanting to make more money or going home early. But it is not so easy to think about it.
Symptoms of depression
People are not motivated. It's easy to say that there is no motivation to boost their morale. Employees won't tell you how they are feeling, what they are not happy with, etc. But they will show you through their actions and signs that they are not enjoying their work and the workplace. When everything is going well, you will see them working hard and enthusiastically. If you don't see that, take it as an emergency warning sign.
People's dissatisfaction is often reflected in their general behavior and attitudes. Some of the telltale signs include:
* When additional work arises in addition to the normal work, there is no one willing to work.
* Reluctance to volunteer to do any other extra work.
* Arriving late at work, leaving work early, or taking leave without a satisfactory reason.
* Making tea and meal times longer than necessary to allow more time off from work.
* Failure to complete tasks on time, resulting in failure to meet organizational goals.
* Not performing according to established standards.
* Constantly complaining and whining about minor issues.
* Often blaming others when problems arise at work.
* Failure to comply with the instructions set by the organization. ....
And so on.
Just one of these is not a problem. That's why you can't immediately determine that employees are depressed. But if you see two or three of these signs at the same time, consider that a warning sign for yourself.
People's behavior and attitudes tell us about the conditions they are working in. Or what kind of management they are under. We need to quickly identify why their morale is down and work to lift their spirits.
Signs of adverse reactions
When things are not going well, employees often express their dissatisfaction with the situation through words and actions. Some examples of what they say in such situations are:
# This should never happen . It wastes time blaming others over and over again, without thinking about helping to solve the current problem.
# If only they would listen to me . They talk endlessly about the past, brooding over their losses, and never actually do anything.
* What a bad company to work for . This is a slander against the organization and is the ultimate way to get back at yourself. If the company is so useless, why do so many employees work for it?
# I'm the last to know about anything . This expression refers to poor communication or lack of organization at work.
* All of this is their fault . They are just saying things without knowing who is responsible for what. That statement also made him feel like he had no responsibility.
* What has happened again ? There is no intervention in the problem that has arisen, and everything is being treated with prejudice.
* Who cares? It 's a sign of apathy towards his responsibility regarding poor performance.
* It's good to know this is going to happen in advance . It's not like you can expect a normal level of smoothness or a higher than normal level of performance in business.
# No one told Kyat about this issue , it seems like they didn't think to investigate what was going on...etc.
All of the above responses refer to a situation where there is a negative attitude. These are words that one person says to another very easily. Some depressed people can easily spread their depression by saying these words to others. When most people are depressed, it makes it much harder for them to regain their motivation and productivity.
Poor performance,
It is often said that poor performance is due to a lack of motivation. But in reality, there are other reasons for this. These factors have nothing to do with individual motivation. There are six (6) factors that hinder good performance. They are:
(1) Lack of adequate training . If there are major changes in the workplace, employees may not be motivated to work hard because they are no longer skilled in the new job. Otherwise, there may not have been adequate training in the workplace to begin with.
