Defining the term leadership

Influence

Everyone talks about the existence or absence of influence, but few understand it.

Most people want to gain influence. A few want to improve.

The term "influence" or "influence" can be interpreted in more than 50 ways.

The meaning of having influence or influence directly refers to the concept of good leadership.

If you understand the concept of influence, you will also understand the concept of "good leadership."

The definition of leadership can be broken down into “the ability to gain followers in a coherent manner.”

World-famous leaders such as Hitler, Jim Crow, Jesus of Nazareth, Martin Luther King Jr., Winston Churchill, and John F. Kennedy each had different qualities and each had their own following.

Aung Hlaing, studying the inner meaning of influence

According to sociologists, even a single person who lives alone can influence about ten thousand people in their lifetime. And if you study the principles of influence, you can influence other people, and someone else can influence you.

Influence often occurs depending on the situation, time, and place, as well as age.

For example, a mother can have a significant influence on one or more of her children. Especially before school, a child will follow her influence in everything from behavior to food and clothing choices. During this period, they have no choice of their own.

The heads of a household are usually mothers or fathers.

While it's true that parents have an influence on their children at home, when it comes to restaurants, they are also influenced by the waiters at the restaurant.

Not knowing how much influence someone has on someone

Significant events tend to remain in our memories for a long time during our lifetime. This refers to the ability to have an impact.

Sometimes, because of an event or a person who was so important that they had the ability to influence many people, that event or person will be etched in the memory of everyone present at that time, to the point that they will always remember it.

If two people born before 1930 were told that the Japanese had bombed Pearl Harbor, they would be able to describe in detail their feelings, their surroundings, and the images of the bad news.

If you were born before 1955, you would be able to tell a detailed story about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The best investment for the future is the systematic impact of today.

If you want to influence someone else, you need to identify and understand in advance what kind and form of influence you want to exert.

If we can try to create an orderly effect, all our plans in the future will be successful.

The 5 stages involved in leadership

Getting a position (Level - 1)

When studying leadership skills, it is important to distinguish between having power and influencing. Having power refers to the power that someone has personally or has been given by an individual or organization.

Influence refers to the fact that a leader is responsible for whatever orders a person with power gives to an organization or group, and that this is done through influence on subordinates.

Good leaders are more likely to emerge from those who lead organizations than from those who have authority. True leadership directly refers to a leader's ability to perform well and see things from a different perspective.

True leaders always have a different understanding of the power and authority of a wealthy business owner and the qualities that a good leader must possess, true leadership.

The different behaviors of a boss and a good leader can be distinguished as follows: • • A boss often drives his employees away.

* The leader teaches the workers.

  • The rich depend on influence and authority.

* A leader often depends on goodwill.

  • The boss intimidates the workers.

* The leader motivates the workers to wake up.

  • The boss often speaks with "I" and "I".

* The leader often speaks on behalf of everyone, saying "we/us."

  • The boss often blames the workers for the damage caused by the abuse.

* The leader tries to repair the damage.

  • The boss knows how much work has been done.

* The leader knows how to do the job.

  • The boss often says "go".

* The leader often gently tells the workers, "Let's go."

Obtaining permission (Step 2)

Leadership is about getting people to work for you without any obligation. In other words, it means you have the authority to do so. People won't care how much you know until they know how much you care about them.

Leadership should not begin with the brain. It should begin with the heart.

Only you can give permission and believe in your leadership abilities.

All leaders at this level must be careful not to waste time, energy, and attention.

Presentation skills or abilities

Practical demonstration (Level - 3)

At this stage, you will see all the good things happening. It is also a time when both leadership levels and interests will be highly developed.

Also, he will be a person of good moral character and able to help others.

At that level, your leadership skills will be strong and your influence on others will be strong.

Improving the people (Level - 4)

How do you perceive and identify a leader?

According to Robert Townsend, leaders are just like ordinary people in age, appearance, and circumstances, and their unique abilities are what make them leaders. Every leader brings progress to others. A great leader is not because of his/her power. It is because of his/her ability to influence others. Great leaders pass on their leadership skills.

Those who inherit the leadership skills must also pass them on with good leadership. This way, we can spread the leadership skills to everyone. Success or leadership without a true role model is not sustainable and will fail. A leader interacts with people, so during my tenure as a pastor, I interacted with 5,000 regular worshippers as follows:

  • Identifying the names of members through the church directory.
  • The contact cards of the 250 people accepted in the event.
  • Reading interview forms to be accepted as a plant.
  • Sending letters to members and receiving replies from members.
  • Organizing competitions for each Sunday school every year.

Highest level of leadership ability (Level - 5)

This stage is the final and most important stage of the leadership development process.

Leadership development can be divided into 5 stages over the course of a lifetime.

The step-by-step progression is described in the form of a staircase on page 13 of the original book.

The following are additional points that need to be improved for each level of leadership.

The higher your leadership ability, the longer your leadership ability will last.

If you are planning to change your business, you should make friends with people who are involved in the business you are going to change to and approach them for any information you need. When starting a new business, you should try to start at the lowest or most basic level.

The higher your leadership skills, the more focused and capable you will be at work.

As a leader, if you lead and work hard, your followers will respect you and want to do the same. If you are not a good leader, your subordinates will be less willing to sacrifice for you and work for you.

Those who are not good leaders or lack the qualities of a leader will also have a reduced ability to influence.

The higher your leadership skills, the easier it will be to lead.

Note the progression between leadership levels 2 and 4. Each level is for leaders to achieve, but followers must also identify why they follow that type of leader.

Leaders must proceed with caution at every level.

The higher the leadership ability, the greater the growth.

When effective change is brought about by high levels of leadership, it becomes easier and faster to climb the ladder of leadership. As a leader, your followers will not only be more receptive to your growth, but they will also be more likely to support you in making the necessary changes.

Don't throw away the lowest rung of the ladder of leadership.

As you climb the ladder of leadership, remember that each step you take should not throw away the steps you climbed earlier.

Especially the bottom step should not be discarded. Anyone who wants to reach the top must climb from the bottom, one step at a time.
