Mom's card
Mom entered the room where they were eating. Mom's face was as red as a rose. Mom was angry.
"My new pair of scissors is missing. Who took them? Can't you remember to put them back in their place?"
Mom's voice is as hard as a stick.
“I won’t take it, Mom,” said the younger sister, Thiri Wai, quickly.
My mother...
“Hey, I always ask you, big sister, Inkyen Mon.”
“Oh, yes, I used it yesterday, Mom. I didn’t ask permission because Mom was out at the time.”
"I like your confession. Why don't you put the scissors back in their place?"
"I forgot to put it back. I took it to the park to cut flowers yesterday. I'll go look for it in the park."
Inkyin Mon ran out into the garden in front of the house and looked for the scissors. But he couldn't find them anywhere. When his mother returned...
"You're such a careless child, I didn't raise you carelessly. I have to punish you. For hiding my best pair of scissors, I'm going to ban you from playing with my best new doll, Barbie. I won't let you play with my scissors until I find them again."
The little girl was sad. She loved her new Barbie doll. She used to go out with it. She played. Now she can't do that anymore. She looked at the doll on the bench.
(What a pitiful Barbie, now I can't play with her anymore) I thought to myself.
At that moment, Siriwe came over.
"Mom... you can't play with Barbie, can you? Let your sister play with it. My sister likes Barbie too."
"Noo Noo... Barbie is my doll, I can't give it to you to play with."
Inkyen Mon refused.
So, Siriwe...
"Mom is not kind, she is not compassionate, Barbie is bored because she has no one to play with. She would like to go outside and take a walk."
Yes, the weather outside is nice. The sun is shining brightly and the flowers are blooming. Even the wind is running in the garden. Inkyen Mon looked at the Barbie doll. The doll looked back at him with a puzzled look, “Why didn’t you take her to the garden? Why didn’t you play with her?” Inkyen Mon changed his mind. So he let Siriwe play with his Barbie doll.
Siriwe was so happy that she took the doll and went to the park. While she was walking in the park with the doll in her arms, a gust of wind hit the Barbie doll's head.
The hat she was wearing had flown away. She looked for it and found it on a daisies. As she reached for it, a gust of wind blew it down from the daisies. Siriwe knelt down on the grass and tried to pick up the hat from under the daisies. Suddenly, under the daisies, she saw her new scissors shining brightly. Siriwe was delighted.
"Mom, I found my mother's scissors again."
"I shouted and took the scissors to Inkyen Mon. He didn't go, my mother didn't tell me not to run when I was cutting something sharp like scissors or bamboo. If I slipped, I could hit myself or someone nearby. Inkyen Mon was happy...
"So I can play with Barbie again."
"I said," said Siriwe in a sad voice.
"My sister hasn't played for a long time either."
He handed the Barbie doll back. In Kyin Mon didn't take it.
“Thank you for finding the scissors again. You play the game. You can play all morning, all day, or as long as you want.”
When I said that, Siriwae was happy. And then
He told his mother.
"My two sisters play together, okay?"
