A DWARF LANTERN SHARK.
It is the smallest type of shark in the world, only slightly larger than a chocolate bar.
It's not a giant, and it doesn't eat humans. It won't kill you unless you're a shrimp.

Firefly sharks have light-emitting organs on their abdomens. This light allows them to blend in with the silvery surface of the water and avoid being eaten by larger fish. Would you expect them to be made up of fancy lights, including the BLIGIBIYARN SMILIRI pictured here, or to inflate like a birthday balloon?
When the cat shark (WELLMARM) is frightened, it dives into the water. It then grows to about three times its original size, making it impossible for predators to pull it out from between the rocks where it hides.
This Australian shark, called the WOBBLOG, has skin that matches the colors and patterns of rocks, boulders, and corals beneath the seabed. It uses this camouflage to catch snails, oysters, crabs, and small fish.
Or who would have thought that it would lie flat on the sea floor like an old carpet……..
