Chapter - 1

Port of Marseille

On February 24, 1815, the three-masted ship "Pharaoh" arrived at the French port of Marseille, where the usual crowd of onlookers gathered along the shore to watch. As the ship was preparing to drop anchor, a man from the crowd jumped into a small boat and ordered the boatman to row towards the ship. The boat approached the ship.

At that moment, a young sailor who was supervising the ship on the Pharaoh's ship saw a man approaching the ship in a small boat, and he took off his hat and greeted him with his hand in his hand. The young sailor was about 20 years old, with a slender body and a handsome appearance. The man who arrived in the small boat was the owner of the Pharaoh's ship, "Mawry," and the young sailor was the ship's first officer, Dante. The first officer was the most senior officer under the captain, and it was customary for him to take charge of the ship when the captain was absent.

The ship's owner, Maury, listened to Dante's words and said, "This is just a simple matter. The older people die first, and the younger ones will rise to power. The goods are all fine, sir..." Dante said, "Don't worry, sir, I'll talk to Danglar to find out more about it. I'll finish the job." At that moment, Danglar approached, and Dante went to do his job.

Danglars was about 25 years old and not the kind of person who was popular with people. He was respectful to his superiors but disrespectful to his subordinates. The sailors hated Danglars as much as they loved Dante. Danglars' job was to represent the ship's owner, which was also a job that people hated. Meanwhile, Danglars' original nature of being a bully and a bully was added to it, so it was no wonder that people hated him.
