Aladdin and the Magic Lamp
Once upon a time in China, there was a young boy named Aladdin. He and his mother were very poor and lived in a small hut.
Every day, young Aladdin spent his time playing with his friends on the street.
One day a man came into the street and watched them play. Then the man said to Aladdin:
"Who are you?" he asked. Aladdin said, "My name is Aladdin."
He replied.
Then the old man
"So I'm your uncle."
"He said. In fact, that man was not Aladdin's uncle. He was just lying. That man was just a magician."
Aladdin, claiming that the magician was his uncle, took the magician to his house. When he got home, Aladdin told his mother
"Mom...my uncle is here from Africa, come and see him."
"He said happily from the doorway."
Aladdin's mother welcomed the magician and brought him into the house. Then she brought him food and drink and they had dinner with the magician.
The magician told Aladdin
"My nephew Aladdin, I will buy you some beautiful shirts."
He said.
"When Aladdin and his mother heard the words of the magician, they were very happy."
The next day, Aladdin and the magician went to the market. At the market, the magician bought Aladdin new clothes. Aladdin was happy to receive the clothes.
Then Aladdin and the magician walked along, chatting.
Soon they arrived at a hill. The magician told Aladdin:
"Now...let's rest here. You find some wood and light a big stove," he ordered.
Aladdin also brought wood and started the fire. Soon the fire grew so hot that it became a huge fire.
The magician was pouring something into the oven while he was blowing magic spells. Soon the earth shook and with a loud noise, smoke came out of the ground. Seeing this, Aladdin was very scared and trembled.
Then, immediately, the ground cracked open and a large tunnel appeared from the ground. The entrance to the tunnel was blocked by a large slab of rock.
The magician told Aladdin - -
"There is a lamp under that stone. Go down and get it. Wear this ring to protect yourself from danger."
He said, gave the ring and led Aladdin down into the tunnel.
Aladdin put on the magician's ring and went down to the mouth of the cave. Then he pulled the large stone that was blocking the mouth of the cave. Then he saw the stairs leading down to the cave. Aladdin went down the stairs.
Soon Aladdin arrived at a beautiful garden.
In the garden, there were many gem trees that were full of gems. The gems were beautiful in various colors such as red, blue, green, yellow, and white. The gem trees were also very large and shone in the sun. Aladdin walked further and came to the end of the garden and saw a large wall. He saw a lamp hanging on the wall. Aladdin climbed the ladder and took down the lamp hanging on the wall. Then he put the lamp inside his shirt and came back down. In addition, Aladdin took off the gems that were growing on the gem trees in the garden and put them in his shirt pockets. When the pockets were full of gems, he put more in his shirt.
Then Aladdin returned to the magician. The jewels he was carrying were so heavy that Aladdin tried to climb the stairs but could not.
The magician stood on the ground and asked Aladdin for the lamp. Aladdin took the lamp from his shirt. However, the lamp was hidden under the jewels, and no matter how hard he tried, he could not get the lamp.
The magician wanted the lamp and became very angry. He could not go down and get the lamp. So finally the magician uttered a spell and the lid of the tunnel slowly moved towards the mouth, closing the hole.
Aladdin was left alone in the dark cave. Aladdin was very scared. He cried out for help, but no one could hear him. He covered his face with his hands and cried. Then his hands touched the ring that the magician had given him and he became pale. Then suddenly a very ugly monster appeared in front of him. Aladdin said to the monster:
"Who are you?" he asked. The giant
"The ring you are wearing on your hand is not an ordinary ring. It is a ring of destiny. I am the ring-keeper who guards that ring. What do you want, my lord?" he replied.
“I want to get out of this hole.”
Aladdin replied.
"Very well," said the giant, and the earth split open, and Aladdin came out on the surface. Aladdin was overjoyed and ran quickly to his mother's house. When he got home, Aladdin told his mother about his adventures. Then Aladdin showed his mother the jewels and the lamp he had brought,
"Mom...the man who came to our house is not my uncle. That man is a very evil wizard."
He told them about how he was locked in a pit.
When it was time to eat, Aladdin was hungry. But there was no food in the house. His mother also had no money to buy food.
At that moment, Aladdin suddenly had an idea.
"I will sell this lamp and buy food."
Aladdin said.
His mother -
"Good idea, son. I'll light the lamp and make it shine."
He replied.
Then Aladdin's mother polished the lamp with sand until it was shiny. As she polished the lamp, a giant appeared in front of them. The giant was very large and very ugly. When Aladdin's mother saw the giant, she was terrified. The giant -
"This lamp is a lamp of desire. I am the lamp-keeper. Tell me what you want, sir."
He said.
“We need food to eat.”
Aladdin replied.
"all right"
"As soon as the giant said this, a large platter filled with delicious food and drink arrived in front of Aladdin.
The large platters, bowls, and plates on which the delicious food was placed were all golden platters, golden bowls, and golden plates.
Aladdin and his mother ate the delicious food with great joy. They had never eaten such food before, and they were amazed and delighted.
After eating, Aladdin said to his mother:
"Mom, I'm going to the market and sell a gold plate and buy food for us to eat."
He said.
In the morning, Aladdin took a golden plate and went to the market. He sold the plate and bought food with the money he earned.
Thus, Aladdin sold a golden plate for every penny.
One day, Aladdin went to the market to sell the golden plate. However, he found that the shops were closed that day.
"Why are the shops closed?"
Aladdin asked a man nearby.
That person told him
"Today is the day the princess is bathing. That's why the shops are closed. It has been ordered that no one is allowed to see the princess."
He explained. Aladdin also -......
