Good idea.
Good read.
There is a story that is quite good to write.
A hot summer day...
A little crow was so thirsty that it flew around looking for water. After a while, it found a small pond. There was water in the pond, but there was only a little bit at the bottom of the pond, so the little crow couldn't reach it.
The little crow looked down into the valley. With its red lips spread wide. Just by looking, where would the water come to it?
The little crow got angry and tried to break the trough with his beak. No luck, but he was not discouraged. The crow looked around again. Not far away was a pile of stones. The little crow had an idea. He picked up the stones one by one and threw them into the trough.
When the water level in the basin was more than half full of pebbles, the water rose to the top.
The little crow looked down again.
He was very thirsty, and the short trips to the rock pile and valley were getting tiring. His red tongue was sticking out.
But he didn't give up hope. He picked up more stones and threw them into the water.
I only had to carry it fourteen or fifteen times, and the water at the bottom of the valley had risen above the edge of the valley.
The little crow happily rested on the valley's lips.
He proudly turned his head left and right, looking around, and in his mind...
" I'll say, 'Oh, my God... I can drink water now.'" He drank the water that came up several times, and when he was full... he looked back and forth at the valley, the rock formations, and the other side... "Thank you," he said, and continued flying to his destination.
I often say that.
I often talk about that villager whenever I meet him.
Every time I say it, one or another sprout pops out.
(I'm talking about it in a way that's hard to believe in reality. It's so nourishing to think about and write, isn't it?)
Now... let's say it in English.
The summer day was hot. A thirsty little crow flew here and there looking for water.
After some time, he found a jug. Happily, he went and sat on the edge of the jug and looked into it. There was some water. But the water was at the bottom. The little crow could not reach
He was tired and his thirst got stronger. So he tried to break the jug with his beak. How could he?
But the crow did not give up hope. "There is water, and I must get at it." With this thought he looked around. He saw a heap of stone at a short distance from the jug.
"All right. I have an idea." He told himself and flew to the heap of stones. He picked up a stone with beak and carried it to the jug and dropped it into the bottom of the jug. He did this many times. He got tired but he was happy with the hope of getting a chance to drink the water. The water had come up. Still, it did not come up high enough for the little crow. Again, he was not sad. He picked up more stones and dropped them into the jug.
Finally, the water came up and the jug looked full to the brim with water. Happily and proudly, the little crow sat on the jug. He looked about saying in his mind.
"Look, I am going to drink water as much as I like."
Then he bent down and drew the water many times with his beak. He had enough and again he looked around.
First he looked at the heap of stones:
"Thank you, dear."
Then he looked at the jug:
"Thank you, dear."
So saying he flew away back to his nest.
