This year's weather is bad. The cold has penetrated to the marrow of the bones. It seems that the blood and flesh in the whole body have frozen. Therefore, the younger brother and sister cannot be put down from the elder. As soon as the mother and father and grandmother put them down from the elder, they screamed in fear. Only because of the elders' breath did the two of them survive.

Our three brothers also slept hugging each other. The eldest brother, the youngest brother, and the three of us struggled through the cold night until dawn, fighting for the middle place.

My mother, father, grandmother, and younger brother and sister also suffered from the cold like us. It was so cold that we could hear the chattering of teeth in the darkness all night. The coldness of Hemanta was oppressing everyone.

Because of the bad weather in Hemanta, they could not go outside at all. They did not dare to go out to find food and water. They could hear the roaring and threatening sound of the blizzard all day and night. The snow flakes that were being carried by the wind to the cave entrance seemed to be closing the cave entrance.

At that time we had never seen anything that would later be called the sun. The moon was still far away. Our frozen, icy planet was covered only with snow and ice. Three-quarters of what would later be called a day was immersed in cold, silent darkness.

The laws of the universe do not apply to us, but there are only two kinds of things around us: light and darkness. There is no water, no earth. There are only snow-capped mountains and snowy peaks. We have never heard of or seen plants and animals. Even birds are far away. In such a harsh, cold, dark world, it is impossible for even the smallest creatures to survive.

Our entire family's bellies were flat. Hunger was burning in their eyes. I looked at my mother and father and felt scared. It had been three or four days since the last meal of food, the prey. Even the skin and cartilage of the prey were gone.

They were chewing on the hard bones, and their gums were sore. The eyes of the parents, who were looking at the young and fragile little brother and sister, were becoming fierce. I was worried that the parents would even bite the little brother and sister to pieces. The angry eyes of the parents were showing incredible suspicion.

Therefore, I only watched my parents' movements with fear and trembling. I even forgot to pick up the bones that my parents threw away, like my older brother and younger brother, and suck them. Even the hunger in my stomach was dominated by fear. More than hunger, anxiety and fear spread throughout my body.

Father suddenly jumped up. I was startled. I was so scared that I even screamed. Father jumped on one of us like he was chasing a prey. Did he jump on one of us? The long, thick hair on his body blew against my body.

In a panic, I heard a different scream from my mother, father, and grandmother. The sound of their screams echoed in the cave where we were living. I looked in shock and looked towards where my father had jumped out. I saw that the light had already come from the cave entrance. They were happy.

Our whole family ran out to the cave entrance. Although it was light, it was still cold outside. The snow and snowflakes were still blowing in the wind. However, seeing the light made the cold feel a little better. It had been three or four days since we had seen the light and it was pitch black. Aren't we tired of living in the dark inside the cave, which was darker than the outside?

We were looking around the cave with our eyes wide open, looking for prey that we could catch and eat with the light that had just come in today. Since we couldn't see any trace of prey around the cave, we went out to a place where we thought we could find prey.

In the cold environment of Kantara, hunting prey is a risk that sometimes involves risking one's own life, so my grandmother and younger siblings, who are unable to help in hunting , are left behind by my father and mother, who are told to stay near the cave. We, however, go out to the icy plains to hunt for prey.

The large, scaly creatures that had been hiding in the cave due to the cold, icy blizzard were also seen wandering in the light, like our family, in search of food. The large, winged, wild scaly birds were flying in the sky. One by one, they were flying in the sky, the big ones were attacking the small ones and killing them.

Both two-legged and four-legged creatures roam the ice looking for food. The young are hunted down and killed by the older ones. In this icy desert, there is no distinction of race or caste. The older ones hunt and eat the young. This is the law of this vast desert.

In fact, it is not the older ones who are eating the younger ones. It is the younger ones who are eating the younger ones, and the older ones who are eating the younger ones. Therefore, in the sky and on the ground, on a day like today when the snowstorm has stopped and the light is dim, one can see one animal eating another, one in the sky and on the ice.

Our family, who had gone out to hunt, also walked on the ice without stopping. As they walked, their eyes searched for prey.

Behind a rock covered with ice, we came across a pack of wolves. The pack of wolves was larger than ours. Both of our parents took a step back. Then our three brothers immediately stopped. (The powerful pack of wolves roared and ran after us, their long white fangs shining brightly in the snow. I stared at the pack of wolves as they ran after us, terrified. It was not just me, my parents and my brothers were also afraid of the big wolves.)
