Maung Ngwe Khaing sat thinking as he watched the cars clattering along Sule Pagoda Road at around five in the evening.
He remembered how, when news of a tiger's appearance sometimes broke out in the villages, there was great panic in the surrounding areas. He imagined how, if a tiger's footprint was found nearby, the entire village would tremble and tremble.
However , he thought that the fear was not as bad as the fear of cars in Yangon now. He thought that a tiger in the countryside was different from a car in Yangon, but a car was different, like a monster with bulging eyes, and a tiger was different.
Because according to the newspapers, the number of people killed and injured in car crashes is tens of thousands higher.
The danger to many people who travel on foot and by rickshaw is very great. They are hit by cars, killed, and even crushed to death while riding. What a terrible era. In the time of the Buddha, if these cars were like this, he would have declared the automobile as the greatest enemy and listed the automobile as one of the greatest enemies. Since I have a job that requires me to travel and find things, I would have to think about it and be afraid of automobile accidents in this city of Yangon. Because Maung Ngwe Khaing was a person who was very afraid of death, he was more afraid of the life insurance agents entering his house than a vulture would be.
So, he spent the whole day thinking about how to escape from the car. Whenever he met a doctor, he would ask if there was any protection for the car, a special amulet, a mantra, or medicine. However, he could not find any such method anywhere, and there was no other way except to walk carefully and on foot.
However, he thought that no matter how careful people are, they will always lose consciousness at some point. He was also very worried that, since he was always busy, he would definitely lose consciousness one day and be hit by a car. Because of this fear, he dreamed once or twice that he was hit by a car and died. These dreams made him even more afraid.
However, one day, due to another dream, he became even more afraid and became thin. One day, while avoiding cars on the road, he had an idea. The idea was to put the word "car" in every visible place in his house, and the words "car, car, car" on every door when he left the house, and to constantly reflect on the meditation "car, car, car, car, car, car".
Having thought of this, after attaching the letters, I felt a little lighter and relieved in my mind and went away. Only in this way can I be mindful every day and not lose my mind. If I am free from this danger, and if I take care of my health, my livelihood, my morals, and my non-excessiveness in everything, I will indeed live a long life. I guard my life with wisdom. The day of death is not fixed. No planet or star can harm me. I will become a person who unwaveringly adheres to the belief that I should possess my wisdom and mindfulness, and should not make mistakes in everything.
From that day on, whenever I was at home, I would think about the car. Every time I left the house, I would stand with my feet in front of the sign that said, “Car is a beast,” hold my breath, and look at my watch for three minutes. From then on, I would start with the first step, chanting, “Car is a beast,” and then go out. On the road, I would not let my mind wander to anything else.
"Car is yellow,
He went with a single, concentrated mind, chanting, "The car is a tow-ya."
As he recited this, he often became interested only in that focus and was not aware of anything else.
One day, with such a concentrated mind, he was thinking about the yellow car and went to the forest. While his mind was still focused in that way, a flash of lightning struck his head, and when he came back to his senses, he said, "Yellow car and the forest," and went to the end.
He was so focused on that attention that he didn't notice that he had reached the crosswalk, didn't see the car turning in, didn't hear the horn honking, and because of his concentrated concentration, he met the wild boar.
