Faith and perception

If you are careless in your faith, or if you are confident but not firm in your concentration, or if you are distracted, you will not achieve the desired results. Concentration may be difficult at first. The difficulty is none other than the fact that when you concentrate on something, your mind wanders off and wanders off without you realizing it. Therefore, you should be careful to know what your mind wanders off to in your meditation. These practices include instructions to keep your body, arms, and legs relaxed. If your body, arms, and legs do not relax and become tense in one place, then the power of your inner mind is being restricted, and you will not achieve the desired results. Many times, you may think in your mind that you have relaxed your muscles, but you remain tense in one place without knowing it. You should be careful not to let this happen. The body and arms should be relaxed, whether in bed or in a reclining chair. The entire weight of the body should be resting on the bed or chair, pressing it firmly against it. It should be as if a soft cloth is lying on a mat.

When contemplating something, one should recite it quickly and loudly enough to be heard by oneself. If one is not fast enough or if one is not listening, the mind will wander. One should also practice the method of controlling the mind by looking intently at something one sees when one is free. One should immerse oneself in a boring book and read it with concentration.

When worshipping the Buddha, one should use Burmese that one understands rather than Pali, which one does not understand, and pray with concentration on the meaning of the words. Pali is not a language that is only related to the words of the Buddha, but was the common language during the time of the Buddha, so good things were said in that language. They also used that language to slander and criticize. There is no reason to think that the children of the future love Pali because they use it. Only a concentrated mind that knows the meaning is important. Therefore, it is more correct to say that the Buddha spoke Pali rather than saying that the Buddha spoke the Dhamma. Because the Buddha did not speak Pali, but rather preached the Dhamma. At that time, the Magadha language, called Pali, was a common language and anyone could understand it easily.

Because of that language, the Law of God still exists, not because of that language, but because of the teachings of the Buddha. If the Buddha had not used that language, it would have disappeared like many other ancient languages. Even if it had not disappeared completely, it would not have remained so firmly established. Some say that Pali is the original language. That is just an assumption. The Mahamedans say that it is an Asian language. But the ancients say different things. None of these statements are correct. In the beginning, human beings did not appear in one place. Since many people appeared all over the world, there must have been many original languages. The Mahamedans believe in Eden. The Buddhists cannot pinpoint the place they believe in Brahma. Vast regions and oceans like China, the American jungles, the continental landmasses of Europe, and the vast forests of Africa could be the places where humans emerged.

It is understandable that fish can be found in water, and humans can be found everywhere on land. However, no one can object to other people's opinions, so they can believe whatever they want.

The point is that in sending prayers and love, we will concentrate only when we understand. Only when we concentrate can we become wise, so we should keep our mind focused on the subject we are thinking about.

Faith can also be fully developed only if it is believed for two years. For example, when suffering from a certain illness, one must not just believe in one's mind that the illness will go away, but must believe with great joy and enthusiasm that the illness will actually go away, and one must have a strong desire to do so.

The patient is not weak because the doctors have decided that he will die, but by using this psychological autosuggestion method, he will not die. He will be confident that he will be well, and he will be strong as if he knew it, and all his weakness and anxiety will disappear.

If I am healthy, what kind of work will I do? What kind of idea will I think? Then the pain will subside like a tide. Faith and concentration cannot be achieved immediately at first. It will be achieved gradually with perseverance. The patient should not keep that faith in his mind only for a moment when he thinks about it. At other times, he should not think that he has a disease. He should not worry about what medicine he should take. He should not look at himself in the mirror and think, "How will my disease be?" He should not complain about his disease to others. Whenever he remembers his pain, he should always have the belief that "it will go away." Faith can do the greatest power and miracles. It should remove pain and anxiety. He thinks that a prick is a snake bite, and is afraid of it, and is afraid of poison. He simply thinks that something moving in the stomach is a disease. If you believe you have the plague just because you have a fever, it is the beginning of death.

In this belief, there should be no tension in the mind, no clenching of the fist, no clenching of the teeth, no straining of the mind. A truly believing mind is free from anger and effort.

There are many people who misunderstand psychology. This method of auto-suggestion is diametrically opposed to the methods of other psychologists. They usually use the word Will Power to practice this power.

It is true that man has that power. But faith or imagination are two of the greatest powers. Imagination means perception. It is a clear perception. If you see clearly, you must believe. Imagination means the appearance of an image. How can you not believe in an image that is clearly visible and perceived?

A person walks on a railway track, and the image of the tracks touching the ground (Imagination) appears to the eye and the mind.

Therefore, the belief that one cannot fall and die, the mind that thinks that one cannot fall and die, arises. Therefore, because of the power of that mind, one can walk without falling. That mind is the belief that one cannot fall and die.

If the track is raised two bamboo sticks high and a person walks on that high track, the idea that he will fall and die appears in his mind. The imagination of falling and dying dwells in his mind. Then he is no different from believing that he will die. He will certainly die.

When walking uphill, the more you use your will power and force yourself to say, "I won't fall," the faster you will fall.

At that time, the believing mind and the will power are in a war. The will power says that I will die. The will power says that I will not fall. In this war, as mentioned above, the believing mind is more courageous than the will power, and when the will power is defeated, the will power is more important and can push the pedestrian down.

Therefore, the most important point in this psychology is that when the power of the mind, called willpower, and the belief in the immanence (or) belief compete, willpower always loses and the mind of the imagination always wins. This point should not be forgotten, and this method of psychology is different from the assumptions of others.

Therefore, in order to cure the affliction, one should not use the words, “It must be cured, it must be cured, my teacher’s power must be cured, it must be cured, the power of

A fool who never thinks about getting sick, goes wherever he wants, exposed to the sun and rain, but nothing happens. A wise person thinks, "I'm going to get a fever," "I'm going to get a runny nose," and so on, and they test their foreheads and blood, trying to avoid pain and inviting pain, and they die.

The Great King died of a monkey bite. There were many people who were bitten by monkeys and nothing happened, but the king himself, because his entourage was so shocked by the terrible treatment, was so sick that he died of a terrible disease and more poison than he had ever experienced.

They handle meat, fish, poultry, birds, ducks, and pigs without any sharp edges or sharp edges. Doctors who destroy the dead use carbolic acid, hellfire, etc., and take great care to ensure that their tools and equipment are free from poisons and germs. However, if a knife is used to cut a person and they get blood (black poison), the blood will be poisoned and they will die immediately.
