Past history and new scents of the future
The knowledge of people in the Stone Age was not even as advanced as that of children today. Scholars have divided the level of human knowledge into three periods. Before the 6th century BC, the level of human knowledge was immature, and the 6th century BC was considered the age when knowledge exploded from the perspective of wisdom and knowledge, and the age when humans began to acquire the intelligence that we possess today. The 20th century is called the Age of Knowledge, when scientific knowledge exploded. In the 6th century BC, great philosophers emerged exceptionally, and especially in the East, these wise men were given special attention by the rulers of the country.
In China, Lau Tzu and Confucius, in Greece, Permerides and Empedocles, in Persia, Zarathustra, in India, Mahavira and Buddha were all great sages, of whom the Buddha was the most intelligent. The ideas of Lao Tzu and Confucius were very influential and still partially dominate the world today. The era of the explosion of knowledge, emphasizing the spiritual over the physical, was about 2,600 years ago.
Based on scientific knowledge, historians divide the world into four periods.
Before 476 AD, the ancient era,
476 - 1453 is considered the Middle Ages,
1453 - 1980 (approx.) in the modern era (at that time),
The 1980s were called the era of scientific explosion.
The 6th century BC was an era of intellectual explosion, and today, the 21st century is an era of scientific explosion.
Value
Quality of Life is a desire that people have within their reach. Quality can be roughly understood as General Sense, and mental quality has been sought since the era of the development of science. Chinese scholars such as Sun Tzu, Lao Tzu, and Confucius established a philosophy that high mental quality is necessary to achieve the value of a life, based on the interaction between people and the environment. King Mahavira and the Buddha of Sakyamuni sought the cause of life and the way to escape from samsara with a deeper philosophy. Only the Buddha achieved ultimate wisdom and found the way to escape from samsara with the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path, and was influential enough to establish a philosophy of living and practicing to fully achieve Quality of Life. The Buddha's teachings and practices about 2600 years ago, The philosophies of life are so amazing that even the experts and scholars of today's scientific age, which is said to be exploding with knowledge, have not yet caught up. To truly achieve the quality of life and to increase its value, the eightfold path was laid. Right view and right thought, which are guided by wisdom; Right speech, right action, and right livelihood, which are guided by virtue; Right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration, which are guided by integrity, have shone a great light to achieve the highest value of life.
In today's world, which is called the Age of Knowledge, we can see how much knowledge has been based on the Buddha's time by looking at the positions of the Aggasavaka and the Mahasavaka. According to the Panchavaggi, although Kondanya was the earliest monk in the Sangha, he was only 15 days old when he was ordained as a monk. This is evident from the fact that Aggasavaka gave the knowledge of the Eta Dagra to Sariputta, and the Mahasavaka gave the power of the Eta Dagra to Moggallana. Although they were arahants and had similar moral values, the one with the greatest knowledge was preferred over the one with the greatest power. Today, good people and good people can imitate this.
The Buddha taught that in order to attain the highest value, one must possess four qualities.
(1) Fulfillment of time (Kala Sampatti)
(2) The fulfillment of the region (Gatisampatti)
(3) Perfection of the innate qualities (Upadhi Sampatti)
(4) Effectiveness of action (payoga sampatti)
The value of a bowl of rice is its own, and its value increases when it is full and has only a nominal value when it is not, which indicates the value of time.
To be fully qualified, you need to have both mental and physical skills.
Effective implementation requires that the overall strategy, strategy, and tactics be in harmony with each other.
Flexibility is just a matter of adjusting the method, not a departure from the goal. It is similar in concept to modern Grand Strategy, Strategy, and Tactics.
Value of Life is only possible if there is Quality of Life. To achieve Quality of Life, you need to have personal qualities such as All and Qualification. Quality of Life can only be known by yourself and the person concerned can decide whether he is satisfied or not, but Value of Life is determined by the environment.
For a stone to fetch a good price, it must be of good quality and free from defects. Being qualified and flawless determines the value of the stone.
Knowledge
The term “knowledge” that we use today was analyzed by the Buddha in order to obtain “true knowledge” by analyzing the correct amount of knowledge. It is clear that he emphasized knowledge based on knowledge rather than knowledge based on skills. Even then, the Buddha clearly distinguished the value of Intellectual Quotient (IQ) and Emotional Quotient (EQ).
(1) How to know personally (quantity of the object)
(2) How to know the approximate amount (approximate amount)
(3) How to compare (e.g., quantity)
(4) How much literature do you know (quantity)?
(5) How to know the time of meditation (the amount of Attapati)
(6) How to be aware (Anupalandiya level)
(7) How to know by analogy (quantity of existence)
(8) How to know through custom and tradition (Ettitapamaana)
(9) How to know the present (the amount of the new energy)
The Buddha controlled the ten things that are not believed in to prevent ignorance, and through the Kalama Sutta, which is still popular today, it was used to balance the weakness of knowledge with the strength of grammar.
Nowadays
Basic Education Higher Education
There are four types of education: Higher Education, Vocational Education, and Non-Formal Education. In 1957, European countries including the United States experienced the First Educational Shock. The Soviet Union launched a manned spaceship that year. Since that year, the United States has established a program to provide education, giving priority to Non-Formal Education over Classroom Education, and providing brainstorming work, making it the unrivaled superpower today. Before the 6th century BC, the pre-knowledge society was considered, but today's society is rushing to enter the Knowledge Society as much as possible. Broad-minded countries are preparing to enter the Post Knowledge Society. There are new flavors in the Post Knowledge Society. Will it be based on all skills or on knowledge? Will the physical be the main thing, or will it not include the spiritual that has essence? Where is the highest value? The questions are waiting.
Quality and Value
Despite the amazing advancement of materialistic technologies, there are various perspectives and standards for calculating the value of life. What is the quality of life? How do we view the value of life? In a normal view, it is natural to admire the life of a person who lives in a nice house, drives a nice car, and enjoys the best of things. There is a superficial view that a good life (Valued Life)
But we cannot forget the quality of life that a person lives in every day. How happy and satisfied they are with themselves is their quality of life. There is a difference between material satisfaction and total satisfaction. And
