Reason for publishing Sandakanari

The book Sandakinna and the Stories of the End of the World is now being republished for the second time. For many years before it was published, it was a collection of stories written monthly in the religious section of the religious magazines “Dhammapadaesa”, “Nawaday” and “Yaw Nu Wai”. The editor of Dhammapadeasa, where most of the manuscripts were written, collected everything and searched for the remaining manuscripts, resulting in many such articles.

The editor, Tak Lu, was very close to him and his help was essential in the creation of the book. The first Kyaw U Gyi Pe, who compiled the original Nipa Ta, spent about (25) years compiling it, and since there was no publisher, it was published by U Nyunt, the Hanthawaddy publisher, according to his preface. The compiler and author, who was a Buddhist missionary with pure devotion, could not publish it himself, so he spent (25) years in it. Now, readers are enjoying the blessings of U Nyunt, the first Kyaw U Gyi Pe, and Hanthawaddy publisher.

Children these days are not allowed to watch plays or large-scale dances like in the old days, but rather watch contemporary films and dramas.

Since we were young, we put the Three Jewels at the forefront, prioritized religion, and educated our children. As a group of us who practiced that culture, we did not become frivolous people until we grew up, but became serious, strong, and morally upright adults, not just ordinary adults, but generous adults who put Buddhism first for our country and nation, and wanted future generations to become like us.

Through the teachings of the Buddha, Buddhist parents want their children to welcome and follow the cultural transmission. The careless young men and women we see today should listen to and follow the cultural teachings of the Buddha. Parents should not only provide current knowledge, but also pass on this cultural knowledge that is relevant in any era to their children. From young children who do not yet know the true knowledge of good and bad things about the world, to the elderly and their families, they should be encouraged to buy and read good books like "Sandakinari" that emerged from this sutta.

This book, Sandakainari, which was selected from the Sutta Discourses, was the first to be published, so it has more chapters and more to read than the books that came after it. The books “Ummadanti” and “Akhshinma Papavadi” that came after it only have (26) chapters. Sandakainari has (40) chapters, which is almost two volumes. All the stories and stories of the Sutta Discourses that have been published are interesting and are real incidents that the Buddha practiced in many lifetimes. By reading them with confidence and enthusiasm, not only do you benefit from the literature of the Suttas + Suttas, but you also learn how the Buddha fulfilled his divine powers, so that when he raised his hands and bowed, you can imagine the fulfillment of the Buddha’s divine powers, and become more confident and focused on becoming a Buddha.
