Author's note
If I were to talk about what women in history have done, I would start with my mother. The most important and respected person in my life is my mother. My mother used to say that it is the responsibility of women to take care of men's health and well-being. Men often forget about themselves while working hard. That is why women have to take care of them. A woman's responsibility is not just to take care of her husband. My mother used to say that mothers also play a role in teaching their children to be polite and educated.
Growing up with this kind of motherly guidance, I became more aware of the role of women when I read history. I was more interested in the way women, even though they didn't take the stage and dance openly, were behind the scenes, arranging and deconstructing the events. I had said early on that I wanted to write about that.
A common difficulty when writing about women is the lack of references, whether in historical texts or in history books that focus more on the people.
They write with more emphasis on men. That's why I had to find and write all the evidence I could.
I started writing under the title "Women in History" in a literary journal. It was about Shin Bo Mae. Since I started writing about Shin Bo Mae, the title came to be that way.
“I think that people are not optimistic about Shin Bo Mae. Because of the writings of the poets who say that Shin Bo Mae is the fifth king of the dynasty, Shin Bo Mae is seen as a very masculine person. In her time, in her situation, she does not think about how she would have had an affair with the five kings. What is worse is the story of Sin Kae Bo Mae. In that story, I understand that Sin Kae and Shin Bo Mae are written as if they were bound by a kind of bond. . . ’’ When I read Shin Bo Mae carefully, I saw her as a poor and pitiful woman. She was beautiful, so the king loved her very much. So far, she has been lucky. But when she went to war against the king, Shin Bo Mae had bad luck. In those days, when the king went to war, the whole family in the palace was also involved. The reason was that when the war lasted for a long time, it was said that the back was not cool.
If my side had won the war, it wouldn't have been easy. Now my side has lost the war. The king himself had to flee for his life. The queen, whom my mother loved so much, didn't even know that she had fallen from the elephant.
So, how much pain and suffering must have been caused to the queen who fell from the elephant on the road? I can't imagine.
You can fall into the hands of the enemy. You can die of hunger and thirst, and you can also be afflicted by unexpected misfortunes.
Luckily for Shin Bok Mae, he was able to find a rescuer and a companion with an elephant.
The king, who loved him very much, sent his assistants to look for him after he arrived in Nay Pyi Taw. When he arrived in Nay Pyi Taw, did he still think about whether he should be reinstated to the palace? Later, the king asked him to bathe with perfumes and wash his head before reinstating him.
A powerful autocrat had become so sensitive that the life of the queen's master, Sin Kae, was in danger. Then, when Shin Bok accidentally pretended to be innocent, he had Sin Kae killed.
I felt so sorry for Shin Bo Mae, who was crying and crying when Sin Kae died. That's why I started writing about Shin Bo Mae. Unfortunately, Shin Bo Mae became queen during a period of political instability. When Shin Bo Mae changed the king, she had to make plans to save her life and wealth. Anyway, I wrote with compassion for someone who had to live in such a life.
Shin Saw Pu, who grew up around the same time as Shin Bok Mae, also wrote about her in the literary journal. Shin Saw Pu was the only queen in Burma and was also a great religious mother. Although Shin Saw Pu is well known, few people know that she suffered a lot from a young age because she was the daughter of a warlord named Raja Dhiyar, who was very demanding. And when the war ended, few people think about how much suffering she must have suffered when she was handed over to King Inwa.
In any case, Shin Saw Pu also had the wisdom to rise from Inwa. Shin Saw Pu was able to establish himself. In addition, the Hanthawaddy people were also tired of the men who were fighting for power among themselves in their time. So Shin Saw Pu became the widely accepted king. It was a joy. But I wanted to say that the capital was not small.
If I were to repeat everything the author has written about women, it would be a long post. So I will try to keep it short. When I first started, I was talking about the strength of women. Now, what I am explaining is probably about the suffering they have suffered. I believe that you, my dear friends, and my dear friends, have endured the cruelty of her husband, the King of Myanmar, for the rest of her life, and the unstable state of affairs until she was able to return to her country after being taken away by different people due to her father's military affairs.
The tragic ending of the story of Talamethiri
I believe that even the most powerful people have been able to take revenge on those who have wronged them. They have spoken out about the injustices they have done, and they have lived their lives.
The woman who fits the bill for what I want to write about is Olympias. Correctness is not straightforward. On the other hand, King Philip of Macedon and his son Alexander were both brilliant and active military leaders. They were also courageous and courageous. But they had a cunning and arrogant queen and mother like Olympias.
Both father and son suffered greatly. Since the ruling kings suffered, it is understandable that the entire nation suffered.
I saw a poster from the United Nations on the bulletin board outside our university library. Educate a woman, educate a nation. I had the same thought when I wrote about women in history. I believe that only women who are educated and self-reliant, whether they have a good position or not, can create a peaceful and prosperous society. If you are in an important position, you should be more rational and rational. You will notice this principle in the story of Queen Isabella of Spain. It is true that the queen was a missionary herself, but those who did not agree with her were killed, and those who did not agree with her suffered eternally. They suffered the punishment of a woman.
In addition to the stories I tell, I hope readers will accept the stories of women I have learned and experienced as much as I can. I hope they will be interested.
“I’ve been writing for a long time, but this is the first time it’s been published in a book. That first book was a childhood memory.
I would like to dedicate this to my parents who taught me and instilled in me the love of reading since I was a child in the countryside. I would also like to thank all the teachers, mentors, and listeners who have been with me since I was a child.
First of all, I would like to thank my husband, who reads and critiques all my writings. I would also like to thank Ko Aung Kyin of Pan Ei San Publishing and Ko Kyung of Pwee Myint for waiting two years for a book about my women to be published.

For you.
In the feudal era, the absolute monarch was a dictator who ruled over everything. The king owned the kingdom and everything living and non-living. The king was the master and everyone else was considered his slaves.
Those who were recorded in history as queens during the feudal era also lived a life of royal dependency rather than of their own. They were dependent on the king, and the ups and downs of their lives were directly related to the king.
Queens of kings who are just and loving have a good life. Queens of cruel and angry kings face a bad life. Even if they lose the love of their king, their lives are often miserable.
I feel so sorry for Shin Bo Mae every time I read about her in the Annals of the Inwa period. Shin Bo Mae is described in the annals as being arrogant and cunning. When asked why she is so sorry, I have to say that she had no life of her own.
The poet, "The five kings of the Mesat-Phai-Thaw, the middle of the kingdom is beautiful," says the poet's poem, "The five kings of the Mesat-Phai-Thaw, the middle of the kingdom is beautiful." We read in the chronicles that Shin Bo Mae was the one who was raised as the queen of the five kings of the Mesat-Phai-Thaw. Shin Bo Mae was the daughter of the young Singha who was born from the union of King Saw Saw Ke's sister Saw Myat and the Singha-Thu Saw Naung. Therefore, she was the granddaughter of King Saw Saw Ke's.
'The first person to marry Shin Bo Mae was Min Khaung Gyi, who was her uncle. When Min Khaung died, Sin Phyu Shin Thiha Thu, who ascended the throne, also made his stepdaughter Shin Bo Mae his queen. When Thiha Thu died, Min Hla Nge, Kalay Kye Taung Nyo, and Moe Nyin Tha Toe continued to make Shin Bo Mae their queen.
The reasons for the five-line succession of kings were the short lifespans of the kings they married, and the rapid succession of kings due to the chaos of the royal court. The first queen
King Soe Hlaing was 28 years old when he ascended the throne and reigned for only 21 years. He died at the age of 49. His son, Sin Phyu Shin Thiha Thu, ascended the throne at the age of 27 and reigned for only 4 years. He was killed in battle at the age of 31. His son, Min Hla Nge, was only 9 years old when his father was killed in battle. According to the ancient custom, Shin Bo Mae became queen consort after the nobles had made him king. The young king died of poisoning at the age of 3 months. The next king to ascend the throne was Kale Kye Taung Nyo. He ascended the throne at the age of 41 and reigned for only 7 months. He suddenly fell ill on the way to war and died. The last person to take Shin Bo Mae as queen consort was Moe Nyin Tha Toe. He ascended the throne at the age of 47 and reigned for 13 years.
He died at the age of 60. Even if you look at the life span and death history of the kings who married Shin Bo Mae, you can see that the political situation at that time was unstable. To understand Shin Bo Mae's life and struggles, you need to study history in detail.
In the chronicles, it is not written how old Shin Bo Mae was when she became queen. What kind of beauty and strength she possessed. We have to guess. The king did not make Shin Bo Mae queen until a year after he ascended the throne. The king ascended the throne
He is 28 years old. The King's half-brother, Sinphyu Shinta, who ascended the throne before him, had a son named Kye Taung Nyo. He was to become Shin Bo Mae's fourth husband. Shin Bo Mae and Kye Taung Nyo are said to have been lovers when they were young. Kye Taung Nyo is 12 years younger than the King. So, if we consider Shin Bo Mae to be the same age as Kye Taung Nyo, we can guess that she was about 17 years old when she became queen. Shin Bo Mae and Kye Taung Nyo are both grandchildren of King Saw Kae.
The time when Shin Bo Mae became queen was during the height of the war between Hanthawaddy and Inwa. Therefore, Shin Bo Mae's personal life was directly related to the war.
``The king himself marched into Lower Burma to fight against the King of Hanthawaddy, Raja Dhiraj. When he marched, he would leave Inwa as a garrison town, and the princes, princesses, and queens would follow him. It was the custom of that time to go to war in this manner.
The king was defeated in battle and had to retreat quickly. During this retreat, Shin Bo Mae was left behind. Since Shin Bo Mae's camp was located near a stream, he hid among the trees and waited for his rescuers. The king's troops retreated in a hurry. Finally, the elephant that remained was called Ye Myat Swar, which was too slow to move. This elephant included the elephant's mahout, the elephant's leader, and the elephant's horse. They were retreating, fighting back the enemies who had come from behind.
The king passed by the brave warrior and called out to him. Hearing the queen's cry, Sin Kei said to the elephant leader, "I am in danger of death. Be careful." The reason was this. If they did not save the queen when they saw her, she would fall into the hands of the enemy who was following her. One day, when the war was over, the king would find out about it. Then Sin Kei would be in danger of death. If he did save her, the king would become suspicious of the queen, who was his treasure, and Sin Kei would be in danger of death. That was why Sin Kei supported the elephant leader.
The elephants and the elephant commander rescued the queen by putting her on their elephants. They let the middle-aged man walk. They did not fight back against the enemies who were following them, but retreated quickly. Every time they stopped on the way, they would tie the queen to a tree and let her sleep. The elephant commander
They sleep on the ground. In villages, the queen sleeps on the roof of the house, while the elephant mahout and elephant leader sleep under the house. They guard the royal treasury and keep it clean.
When the king returned to Inwa, he was very sad. He received news that the enemy had captured the mother of the king, Shin Mi Nok. He had no news of Shin Bok Mae. Therefore, he sent the horsemen to investigate twice. The second time, they said that the king had returned with the courage of a lion. When the queen returned, she pitched a tent outside the city and had her bathed. Then, she was anointed with perfume and returned to the palace.
The king asked his queen, the elephant chief, and the elephant chief how they had arrived in front of the crowd. When he found that the statements of the elephant chief and the elephant chief were consistent with his queen's statements and that there was no difference, he gave them gifts. The elephant chief
He saved the king's life during the war. Now he has saved the queen again. That's why he is praised as a person who saved her life twice.
The king did not live calmly after giving such a reward. He would ask the queen about it whenever he had a reason. He also checked the elephant guard and the elephant leader again. When they explained it carefully, he calmed down and gave more rewards. But suspicions were already creeping into his mind.
One day, while sitting with the king, Shin Bo Mae was chopping betel nuts, and when the betel nut was touched by the betel nut, she thought, "Oh, save the elephant." The king, who was very suspicious, had the elephant killed without any evidence, such as interrogation or consultation with wise men. The king, who ruled the country and the living and the dead,
He couldn't control his mind. So, he was innocent and had to die in a fit of rage.
Shin Bo Mae cried bitterly when he realized that Sin Kae had died because of his deception. He was so sad. He loved Sin Kae like a real brother and sister. The grace that saved his life was as great as the earth, and so on, he almost lost his composure.
The book "The History of the Emperor's Rebellion" states that Aung was very anxious.
