1. Grown-ups and a strong mentality I am not a person who can be called a grower. But when I observe the environment, I realize that the habits of those who grow up and those who do not grow up have different characteristics. I have been studying these differences for a long time. When a writer is interested in a topic, he often wants to write about it.
When we say someone who grows, we mean someone who grows in the right ways.
I don't want to write the article in a sequential manner like a school lesson, but I will describe it in a sequential manner because the people I want to speak to are young people.
He who grows and prospers
1. They tend to have a stable and determined nature.
People who are moody, depressed, impatient, and have quick tempers are often far from prosperity.
When we say we are weak-minded, we are being naive. We are not educated, nor do we have capital. So, prosperity is not our business. A person who thinks that he is strong only if he eats rice and vegetables is weak-minded.
People who are depressed want to grow, they try to grow. While trying, they think, "Oh, the difficulties are too many, I'm not going to grow anymore," and they can't do anything, so they just sit around and do whatever they want, like they're always doing nothing. They end up giving up on their work and changing jobs to do whatever they want.
There are few people in the world who have never been depressed, except for the most serious ones. But you need to be a person who knows immediately when you are depressed. Then you will be able to analyze the reason why you are depressed. You must analyze and correct what is wrong.
If you are too tired, you should rest your body. If you are too tired, you should rest your mind. But you can't just let go of your body and mind whenever you want to while you are still depressed. You have to compromise with discipline.
If it's not milk, you'll end up with people who are easygoing and behave badly. You'll end up getting hurt.
So, when you are feeling down, you can read good books. You should meet and talk openly with those who you believe have good intentions and actions towards you.
The best thing is to consistently accept and practice the teachings of your faith in ways that are not shortcuts.
Based on all the experience I have learned, I would like to say that people who are ambitious have more problems than those who are small-minded and depressed.
Arrogant people believe that they can grow and develop. That's fine. But they are blind to the idea that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. So instead of taking firm steps, they tend to take leaps and bounds to reach their goals.
They tend to ignore their own strengths and weaknesses and hold on to false ideas such as, "He is not as good as me, even if he is like this, I can be better, but that job is not worth it for me." That is why when choosing a job, they tend to imitate the work of those they admire rather than the job that suits them. • People who are ambitious are often also theorists. That is why they do not study the actual situation of their job and only recite the theory to impress others. They only do wrong things when they do it. They talk about it in a way that is smooth.
Those who work at the expense of others without using their own resources will soon find themselves carrying a burden they cannot bear. They will not use their own resources from the beginning, and that is what will happen.
We see such people all around us. People who are in debt, people who are incompetent and cheat are often the ones who become incompetent. (There are exceptions, of course.) But in general, there are many examples of people who are reckless and reckless.
People who change their minds quickly are also those who do one job and if it doesn't work out, change to another. • They tend to be those who don't make a lasting impression on others and throw fish around.
They also have many changes in their work, and their moods are often up and down. When they are up, they don't think anyone is equal or worthy, and they talk negatively about each other. They also treat each other with contempt. When they are down, they often kneel down and apologize to the person they once treated with contempt, which is disgusting to others.
It is easy to see that those who are far from prosperity are those who have a tendency that is contrary to the quality of a stable and stable mind.
So, the question is whether a stable and strong mental state is an innate quality. It is not denied that there are differences in mental states from birth. However, just as a person can be shaped by good habits and experiences, so can the mind.
While talking about the ability to change the mind, a teaching from the great monk of Maha Gandhara, Ashin Janaka Bhiwamsa, came to mind. “ Change the mind, change the body, prepare it, do it, and you will reach blissful Nibbana.” The methods followed by Burmese Buddhists to achieve a stable and stable state of mind can be found in the Mangala Sutta.
The word "Mingalar Mangal" means to eliminate evil, to clear away the bad causes that cause one to be low. Conversely, it can be taken to mean to increase goodness, to increase noble and good benefits.
In that auspicious Sutta, from the very beginning, it says, ' Sthavanasa balanam panditananinsathevana pujasa pujaneyanam '.
Some children say that they are friends, but they are not friends. They say that if they don't get along, it's not good. I (I) teach them and then they get along.
As a person, the dirt is visible. As a mind, the dirt is not visible. There is a saying, “If a dog bites a mango tree, the mango tree will not bear fruit.” Even if you do not become a bad person by mixing with bad people, it can make it more or less difficult to become a good person.
It is much faster to be loved and trusted by your community if you are also good. In these times, when opportunities arise and businessmen are looking for good people to work with, it is true that they want to choose the best. Therefore, those who associate with good people can be successful. By good people, I do not mean those who have positions, honors, or wealth. I only mean those who have virtue, integrity, and wisdom.
"Panditānaṃsevaṇa" means worshipping and devotion to wise and virtuous people. Associating with and devoting oneself to people who are not only knowledgeable and skilled but also virtuous and have a good heart can always bring special benefits. There is no need to explain this in detail.
Wise and good people speak only good words. They direct only good intentions and good deeds. They do not engage in bad behavior or speech. Therefore, you can confidently consult them about what you should do and what you should not do. They can stabilize your mind with their virtue, integrity, and wisdom.
As mentioned earlier, "Offer offerings to those who deserve it." It is the same as saying "firmly accept the teachings of the religion you believe in." Burmese Buddhists respect the Three Jewels and their parents, teachers, and benefactors. Those who offer offerings to those who deserve it can always find peace of mind.
I don't want you to indulge in greed-driven offerings, such as "I'm good enough." You should only offer what is worthy of offering, bringing it into your own mind. If you do, you will definitely find peace of mind.
If you pay your gratitude to those who are grateful, you will become a light-hearted person because you will not be in debt. Gratitude cannot be repaid in cash, but if you pay your gratitude to those who are grateful, you will definitely feel free and light-hearted.
, The article is already long, but I would like to share three points about the Mangal Sutta, which is about those who are steadfast and strong in spirit.
Living in a decent place, having a good past, and building yourself up well are three things that are related to the basic mental stability of growth.
Even if you are a single person, if you associate with a bad person, you will get bad results. You can only benefit from worldly benefits if you live in a decent place. If it is not a decent place, then you should live in a decent place.
If you can fix it to a suitable place with your own power, you should fix it. If you can't fix it, it's best to move to a more suitable place.
If you have become a good person, you can say that you are a lucky person, someone who has done good things in the past. You just need to maintain it to make it better.
Self-improvement means striving to avoid evil, to do good, and to keep the mind pure.
This is not an easy task, and it is not difficult if you practice a lot. It is a task that can be perfected by striving to abide by the teachings of the great ones.
