Introduction

This small book presents the essence of the Buddha's teachings in comparison with the views of modern education so that students who are pursuing higher education can understand and effectively apply the fundamental principles of Buddhism, which are very important for their lives.

This book clearly explains the basic requirements for the path of life, including the meaning of life, the purpose of life, and the goal of life. It also explains practical methods for achieving worldly and spiritual success.

I hope and believe that this book will help guide the youth of today to make the most of their precious lives with a clear vision, good character, strong spirit, and noble intentions.

Everyone is a creator who can create their own destiny.

May the most beautiful, brightest lives blossom into many children.

If you don't know how to spin, you won't succeed.

If you're not prepared, you're not beautiful.

The one who is skillful is not tired. The one who is skillful is not strange and beautiful.

The first-rate seeker of knowledge should study and acquire knowledge, whether it be one verse or two. He should approach a good teacher, ask for guidance, and follow it. Knowledge is within reach, endless, all around. All that is needed is to learn to take it. If you learn to take it, you will obtain it without tiring.

The second-level seeker of wealth is one who is alert and vigilant, has discerning wisdom,

If you follow the advice of successful people and work hard in the right way, you will surely succeed in making money.

In the third age, one must cultivate wholesome meditation in order to attain the crown of life. A person who has the right mind, which is called the yoni somanasikara, can acquire wholesome meditation in a matter of seconds without spending a single penny.

Meditation is the main force for knowledge, wealth, and worldly success. Therefore, those who want to achieve success in life should diligently acquire meditation from an early age.

Looking forward to success in life

A piece of life

This is the most important time in your life.

Pause and think carefully about what you have to do right now.

What is the meaning of life? How did my life come about? For what reason did it come about? What issues should I address in this life?

I want to be full of knowledge, I want to be successful, I want to be famous, how can I do that?

What are the most precious things in this life? What teachings should I cherish in my heart?

What is the goal of life?

Is there still an afterlife after this life ends?

Think deeply. You shouldn't go through life without knowing the meaning of your life, without knowing the purpose of your life, without having set your life's goals.

This document can change the course of your life for the better.

Please consider carefully and make a decision.

Meaning of life

Life is as vast and deep as the ocean. It has no shore, no depth, and no worldly perception.

If we try to discover the meaning of life through purely worldly perspectives without being able to penetrate the veil of darkness, we will not be able to discover the true meaning.

Examine the views of some Western philosophers on life.

'Man is a part of the universe and is subject to the laws of nature that govern it. Death

Then it returned to being a part of the universe.

( Ancient Greek philosopher Thales)

“There are only three significant events in a life. They are birth, life, and death. People are no longer sensitive to birth. When faced with death, they are terrified. While living, they forget to live a useful life.”

(The Great Quotations, p. 84) ‘Humanity is like a group of shipwrecked travelers clinging to a wooden raft floating on the ocean at night. The whole area is dark. The waves and wind are fierce. One by one, the travelers are thrown off the raft by the force of the waves. The small holes that have temporarily formed where these people have fallen, and the ocean water quickly covers their bodies. These waves continue to move as if nothing has happened. Nature does not care about humans.’

             ( Rattlesnake)

"Man was not created to understand life. He was created only to experience the joys and sorrows of life."

        ( Gusantayana)

"Life has meaning. The search for the meaning of life is my food."

          ( Robert Browning)

“I used to think that in order to experience the essence of life, I had to find the meaning of life. Now, even the absence of meaning in life can help me live happily.”

          (Albert Camus)

Considering the above statements, it is clear that Western thinkers are incapable of discovering the meaning of life.

Worldly wealth

"Life is short, kid, try to be happy."

( Khrushech)

"Life is getting shorter and shorter. The days are passing by faster and faster. Let us live happily, day and night."

( M. Gorgi)

That's right. Everyone wants to be happy. There's no need to force them. The problem is how to be happy.

They think that it would be very happy if they could eat, drink, wear, and live as they wanted. They must have met many people who could live like this, both at home and abroad. But they are not happy at all. Some are not happy at all, and are very miserable, suffering from various kinds of sorrows.

Some say that “the most meaningful and best life is to live while not worrying about death, which has not yet come, and to strive to fulfill the basic needs of life, including food, politics, and social issues, while still alive.”*

"Every living being, by nature, considers survival and survival as its primary concern. However, in striving for self-sufficiency, there are both ethical and unjust ways to achieve it."

There is no need to consider the consequences of good and bad karma. If there were no need to consider whether there would be a future life, a wise person would resort to all kinds of dishonest methods. Greed always urges people to follow the saying, "Whoever dies, whatever happens to him, will be happy." Anger always urges people to turn a blind eye to the suffering and loss of others. Ignorance always urges people to turn a blind eye to the suffering and loss of others.

They are constantly tricking people into thinking that what is wrong is right, and what is right is wrong.

Can a life of greed, anger, and ignorance, pursued by immoral means, intoxicated with wealth and pleasure, be called the most meaningful life, the best life?

More than half of the world's population today lives without food security. Are their lives meaningless? -

In the days of our ancestors, they thought that having a field, a herd of cows, and a cart was enough to live on. Today, people think that having a house, a car, and an income of about 20,000 kyats a month is a good thing. Even though they are rich, they still want televisions, radios, cassettes, motorcycles, diamonds, and gold and silver jewelry.

If we cannot control our greed, we will never be satisfied and will always chase after wealth and possessions until the smoke and rain cease. - Worldly wealth is nothing but an immaterial thing like the spectrum of a rainbow, and a person who pursues worldly wealth will be no different from a person who is looking for gold at the base of a rainbow.

People consider diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, garnets, topaz, rubies, emeralds, gold, and silver to be precious gems.

In fact, diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, rubies, and emeralds are just small stones that are rare, beautiful, and valued in terms of money, making them valuable.

When these gems are worn as necklaces and ornaments on the chest, they are thought to enhance one's beauty, but in reality, an ugly person does not become more beautiful. A person with a mean disposition does not become noble. The number of sincere and loyal friends does not increase. It is like gambling with one's life by inviting thieves, robbers, and pickpockets to increase one's envy and hatred.

Therefore, those gems are not the real, valuable gems in the world.

A true jewel should increase the wearer's beauty, increase love and affection, bring happiness to both body and mind, elevate one's status in life, and continue to provide various benefits in the afterlife.
