I am very happy to have the opportunity to write a book that is written in a comprehensive and easy-to-understand way, with colorful photographs, to increase the public's health knowledge about fruits. It explains how (20) types of fruits should be eaten, what they can be eaten, which parts of the fruit have what benefits, and which parts can only be harmful and should not be eaten.

Dr. Khin Maung Lwin is the chairman of the Senior Doctors Association.

He donates 10,000 kyats a month to the Myanmar Medical Association, and also arranges travel for the group. Not only that, he is also a person who provides all the necessary support for the group. He is someone I can rely on like a little brother. In addition to taking care of the health of patients, he is also involved in the production of medicines, writing educational books, and giving health education lectures. He also makes donations generously. Dr. Khin Maung Lwin sees patients four days a week and donates the service fees and gifts he receives. He is a person who is able to do any job with discipline and is a person who is growing. To produce medicines, he cultivates medicinal plants that can be grown in Myanmar through organic farming and systematically produces standard medicines in the pharmaceutical factory. He is also a person who maintains the cleanliness of the environment by reusing the wastewater from the factory to the plants grown in the factory and cleaning the factory. He treats his employees like family, and is respected and loved by all of them. That is why he has received various domestic and international awards. His wife, Dr. Khin Khin Htay, is also like-minded with her husband and helps him with whatever he needs. Therefore, I am very happy and proud to have a close relationship with Dr. Khin Maung Lwin and his wife.

The book Fruits and Health describes 20 types of fruits. It explains in detail the medicinal properties, nutrients, health benefits, whether or not to eat fruits with diabetes, which parts contain beneficial substances and which parts contain harmful toxins. It also describes the health benefits of fruits and their leaves. Of the 20 types of fruits, 19 are fruits grown in Myanmar, except for cranberries.

When I read the above book to write my order, I couldn't put it down and kept reading. I also gained a lot of knowledge about fruits. I would like to share some little-known facts. I learned that apple seeds contain toxic substances after reading this book. How to distinguish between raw and ripe papaya, how guava reduces bad fats such as LDL cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood, and how it can break down nitrosamines in grilled meat, so you should eat guava after eating grilled meat, how guava leaf decoction can be used for diarrhea, how to make mango juice, when to eat pineapple,

The book explains the benefits of eating pickled bananas, the difference between bananas and fried bananas, the health benefits of dragon fruit, grapes, mango, guava, oranges, and watermelon, durian that regular drinkers should know, western medicines that should not be taken with grapefruit, black, white, yellow, green, and blue strawberries, the difference between coconut oil and palm oil, etc. Delicious Burmese food often includes coconut, and Burmese people tend to like foods that contain coconut. Elderly people, people with coronary artery disease, and people with high blood pressure, including myself, have been told for years that they should not eat coconut, so they have to avoid foods containing coconut even though they like it. Coconut oil can increase the beneficial HDL cholesterol. After reading this book, we will happily eat coconut in moderation. Coconuts are finally free from their bad reputation.

The inside of the avocado is rich in fat and resembles butter, so it is called avocado. Butter obtained from cow's milk is high in cholesterol and saturated fat, so it should be avoided by the elderly, people with coronary artery disease, and people with high blood pressure, but avocados should be eaten frequently. Avocados have been reported to have many health benefits, such as reducing bad fats in the blood, being rich in antioxidants that can prevent cancer, making the skin beautiful, supporting hair health, and providing sufficient nutrients for pregnant women. The fruit can also be used to prevent cancer, treat prostate cancer, relieve heart and blood pressure diseases, and reduce inflammation in bones and joints. These effects are due to the chemicals in the seeds, so if you eat the fruit, you should chew the seeds and those who are taking certain foreign medications need to be careful when eating the fruit. Many people think that the fruit is high in sugar, so people with coughs and chest congestion should not eat it. However, it is also known that eating the fruit regularly can relieve asthma.

Therefore, the book Fruits and Health is a comprehensive book that contains everything that people who eat fruits should know. By reading this book, you will learn to eat fruits for their health benefits, so it is a good book.
