The beginning of life
Eva and Kat were standing at the edge of a pine forest. Behind them was the Schmidthorn Valley. It was midsummer, but there were still snowflakes on the mountain. The sparkle of the snowflakes was so bright that they could see the snow on the ground.
The silver-colored coat contrasts beautifully with the clear, beautiful sky. Kat makes a living as a mountain guide. He is also a childhood friend of the young girl Eva Brown. He is also a schoolmate. The two of them have been childhood friends since kindergarten and have attended school together.
Eva treats her friend Kat as if she were a much older person. Even the mother of young Eva Brown used to say, "When Eva grows up, she will marry Kat." No one objected to her mother's words. Both parents were happy with them. They all understood that when the two children grew up, their children would definitely get married. Eva's father worked as a carpenter in a furniture store. The store where he worked was full of new wood.
The smell of the flowers wafted through the shop. The inside of the shop was filled with golden scrolls of gold that had been rolled up and dropped. A girl named Eva, who had been working at her father's workshop, would often say to herself as a child, "When I get married, I'll have golden hair like this." She was crazy about her imagination.
Sometimes, Eva would look out the window at the peak of the Schmidt Horn, visible from the living room, and dreamily imagine her wedding. Eva would water the flowers in the garden. She imagined that one day these flowers would be used to decorate her wedding crown.
Because of this idea, Eva regularly waters the flowers and plants, whether it's summer, fall, or winter.
But now her dream had to be rethought. Marriage was no longer a vague concept, because Eva had found something more interesting.
Now he was telling Eva, "You're such a stupid girl." Kat stared at the tall pine trees that reached up into the sky.
Eva looked at Kat's thick eyebrows and thought, "I love him, I love him." Kat's bright eyes
Looking into his eyes, Eva's mind was saying, "I love him, but it's hard to have the changelings on my side."
Eva's hair curled around her neck. Her large eyes were like lavender flowers that bloom in late summer. Eva was now of age to get married. However, a plan had come up that would change Eva's future forever.
Eva's boyfriend, Kat, spoke to Eva again, his voice coming out of his throat with a choked sound.
"I love you so much, my love," the card continued.
"Don't go to Munich with Mr. Arnhof, my dear. Stay where you are, my dear. You'll be happy here."
He kissed Eva gently. Eva was lost in her lover's thoughts, and her grand plan was a little less ambitious. But the long-cherished dream was not completely ruined.
Evaka wanted to leave this place where nothing was strange anymore. In the village, men and women grew up and got married, and then grew old. This was the same old journey from the cradle to the grave. Evaka did not like this, she could not accept it. She wanted to use her life more meaningfully. She wanted to draw up plans for her future that would rise like a rising tide.
The place Eva looked to for her future was Munich, the city where Nazism was born and flourished. Eva believed that this ideology would provide a new path for Germany's future.
"If I'm lucky, I'll go to Berlin, and then Mainz, which is very famous for its high-altitude buildings, and I'll see the beautiful scenery of the Rhine River. I'll also get a chance to see the Cologne Cathedral."
Eva always thought that way. She always imagined that there was much more to Germany than the small village in the valley where she lived.
The card
"Love... your mind is moving. But it's only for a moment. Then it will disappear."
"He said calmly and gently." Eva replied.
"Yes... it's true that I'm excited. Because I know that there's more I can do with my life."
Eva doesn't like her current job. She has been working in a small shop since she was 16. Eva really hates the owner, Froza, who is always bossy.
Frozet runs a shop selling postcards and souvenirs to world travelers. The old woman is very strict with Eva Brown. She is not allowed to laugh freely. Frozet tells Eva that
"When you're old, you'll know if there's still a lot of fun left."
It was often said..
Heinrich Hoppmann, a wealthy photographer in Munich, was the owner of a photography shop. His shop was on the main street, Barstrasse. Eva's friend Anna and Heinrich Öz had recently gotten married. Eva was to be a bridesmaid at their wedding. Anna wore bright clothes and spent money like water. She told Eva about the beauties of Munich. She told Eva about the beer halls and all the fun in the city. Eva could not stop imagining her friend's praise of Munich.
Anna promised Eva: "One day, I'll take you to Munich."
Now, Kat is trying to convince her lover Eva, who has been dreaming about all this.
The card said, "Don't be silly, love."
From a distance, they saw carts of straw driving through the fields. The cart drivers were old women. Their large bodies were heavily laden with straw and they had handkerchiefs wrapped around their heads. They seemed to be very agile.
The young Eva Brown, who was only 20 years old, looked at the older women and said, looking confused.
"I'm very afraid of being ugly. And I hate getting old. I don't want to hear about aging or death, and I don't want to see it."
The card said
"My love, you are very beautiful, and you are not a bad girl. Never go far away. Always stay with me."
Eva said
"I'll never get another chance like this again. What if I do something else?"
