The ghost that haunted Napoleon

While we were having a good conversation, the Buddha entered the chamber. “Your Majesty, please close the curtains to protect the window from the wind.

"When you and your brothers leave, please close the air vents as well," he ordered one of the three monks. The three monks followed his orders, and the Buddha picked up the pillar of light and sat down in the hall of the temple.

After a while, the pillow he was sitting on felt like it was getting stiff, like a mala. So the Buddha got up from the bed and shook the pillow to see what was inside. At that moment, he heard a rustling sound from the head of the monk, so he looked around for a moment. He didn't hear anything else, so he lay back down on the bed again.

Half happy, half sleepy, and not happy when the monk called him, the great monk came back thirsty. So, leaning on his elbow, he drank a glass of juice that was placed on the small stool next to the throne room in one gulp. He put the glass back on the stool and dragged it to a corner of the room, and a soft moaning sound came from the monk's dressing room.

“Who is it?” the Buddha asked, drawing his three-handed gun. “If you tell me, I will shoot your head off,” he said sternly. As he threatened, a “hakka” laughter came from the shadows in the corner of the room, and silence returned. The Buddha jumped up from the throne, pulled the robe he had draped over a chair, and hurriedly walked towards the source of the sound. As the sound came, the door to the dressing room swung open. The snapping sound was heard again. The Buddha grabbed the three-handed sword hanging nearby with one of his strong hands and stepped forward. There was nothing in the small room. The snapping sound seemed to be the sound of the wind blowing through a fallen curtain. So, I thought to myself, "How could I have gotten so bloody?" I felt ashamed and went back to the workshop.

Just as he was about to fall asleep, the three lamps on the pedestal suddenly went out, and the entire room seemed to be completely dark. In fact, the lamps were not going out. It was just a dark shadow blocking the light. The Buddha, who had started to sweat again, reached out to ring the bell, but an invisible object violently pulled the bell rope from his hand. At the same time, the evil shadow disappeared, and the entire room was illuminated again.

"Wow...it's actually a trick of my vision."

The Buddha sighed and groaned to himself.

“A trick of the eye,” a mysterious deep voice said in a deep, guttural voice. “A trick of the eye is certain, Your Majesty. These are signs of the real things to come. The gold mine, the silver mine, the amber, the devil, the lord of the seven jewels, the lord of weapons, the lord of life, the lord of the sea and the land, Napoleon, follow me, and you will see more.”

At the end of the speech, something clearly appeared in his mind. A tall, thin man dressed in a blue robe with gold trim, a black veil tightly tied around his neck. Behind his ears, on either side of his ears, were two large, pointed earrings. His face was stern, and his eyes were bulging out of their sockets, burning like flames.

"My God...my God...what am I seeing?" the Buddha muttered in shock. “Hey, ghost, where did you come from?” (The ghost didn’t say anything, but suddenly came in front of him. Then he beckoned Napoleon to follow him with a curled finger. The Buddha, as if possessed by a mysterious force, was no longer able to think for himself and made decisions, but simply obeyed without hesitation. The solid brick wall only moved aside when they approached and opened accordingly. They passed through and closed again with a loud bang. Except for the faint light coming from the ghost, the long, damp tunnel was dimly visible. The two of them just walked along the path without saying a word. The cool, refreshing wind that blew through the cave made them feel like they were about to fall asleep. As the weather became cooler, the Buddha pulled his nightgown tightly around him, indicating that he had entered the open air.

Once outside, Napoleon found himself on one of the main streets of Paris.

"Oh, please let me go back to the spirit world and put on my robes. Then I will return with you immediately," Napoleon pleaded, shivering in the cool night air.

"Just keep going," the ghost said sharply. I couldn't help but control the waves of anger that were rising and do what the ghost told me to do.

They walked through deserted streets until they reached a large house built on the banks of the Sein River. When they reached the front of the house, the ghost suddenly stopped. The main gate swung open as if waiting for them. The two of them entered a large marble hall. Part of the hall was hidden by curtains. The bright light reflected from the marble wall behind this curtain pierced the curtain and made it faintly visible. In front of the curtain stood a row of women dressed in their clothes. On their heads were wreaths of beautiful flowers. Their faces were covered with masks, the symbol of death.

“What are these masks? Are they Nanabhava or Vinabava? Where am I? Why have you brought me here?” the Buddha spoke harshly, trying to break the mental bonds that had been holding him back.

“Shut up,” the ghost shouted, his blood-stained tongue protruding. “Shut up if you don’t want to go to the Supreme Being right now.”

The Buddha, who had been so filled with courage that he had overcome the fear that he had been subjected to since the beginning of the play, was about to say something. At work, whether it was a noise from within or a sound from the wind, the wild music of the world appeared from behind the curtain, soothing the terror. At the same time, the fragrant oriental aromas, mixed with various spices and herbs, filled the air, making the heart dizzy.

She heard something whispered from afar, and someone grabbed her arm from behind, and she turned around. Empress Louis-Marie asked in surprise, "Oh! Are you also in this realm of the dead? How did you end up here?"
