Where is the eight-year-old elephant?
Bella is different. Most baby elephants stay close to their older, more experienced relatives and happily follow the herd. Bella wants to explore on her own. Every morning, she leaves the herd a short distance away and finds her way on her own. And each day, she moves a little further away from the herd. The destination of her adventure varies slightly.
In fact, Bella doesn't just wander around to find new places and new creatures. She also searches for clues that will help her find her way through the forest. Butterfly
Late one afternoon, a butterfly with red and green spots caught Bella's attention. Bella was used to seeing butterflies as she walked. She had even seen some flying in flocks. But this butterfly was special. Its movements seemed to express some energy, some perception.
As I watched, the butterfly landed directly on his trunk. Sometimes it would land just once, sometimes many times in a single day. This butterfly was bold. I noticed that it had no fear.
Forty days into Bella's adventure, one foggy Tuesday morning, the red-and-green-and-blue-spotted butterfly landed on Bella's trunk between her eyes again. This time, it spent the entire morning watching Bella's adventures with interest.
After a while, the soft-spoken Bella looked impatiently at the bald butterfly clinging to her and asked, "What do you want?"
“Life begins with courage,” the butterfly replied immediately. “The courage to ask questions, the courage to look deep inside, are the first steps to discovering your unique place in the jungle.” The butterfly fluttered its colorful wings and flew away.
That day, the rain and fog blocked Bella from seeing new places to explore, so she returned home. On the way home, she silently thought about the words the butterfly had said.
