Rights and responsibilities

Some monks and nuns read the monk's books and wrote to him, ranging in age from 15 to over 80. They wrote about how their understanding and views had matured after reading the monk's books, how their attitudes had become correct, how they had become happy, and how they had practiced meditation. The monk was happy to read this. He was satisfied. I thought it was worth mentioning.

Now, I will try to speak as best I can, Monk. Sometimes the things I have to say are difficult to say, so I wonder if you will understand. Now, when I read the letters I have written to Monk, I see that there are many people who understand me. I see that there are many people who appreciate me.

So, the monk wants to make it clearer, easier to understand, and easier to grasp for all three ages. I want to speak to the older lay people, those over 60, (70) (80), and the younger lay people, (40-50). I want to speak to the younger lay people, starting from (10) (15) years old, and I want to speak to them for all three ages.

A letter came from a gentleman over 80 years old (retired principal). He had borrowed the book “Life is a School” from a friend and was reading it for a while. He liked it so much that he couldn’t buy it, so he copied the entire book by hand.

I hear a lot of the same thing about the Dharma tapes. These Dharma tapes have spread quite a bit, even reaching the West.

Recently, I heard that a certain Daka, I don't know if it was the prison authorities or the prison warden, got these Dharma tapes from a friend and got sick. He liked them so much that he played them in the prison in the evenings on a loud speaker. After they played them, the prisoners in the prison also became interested.

Some people end up in prison because they do something wrong by accident. It can happen to anyone. When you look at people in prison, you can't think that they are bad people, and I can never be like them. I have studied monks. There are cases where people are punished for doing something without any intention. So you can't assume that all people in prison are bad people. There are also some very good people among them.

Then he collected more tapes and played them in the prison every evening. The prisoners would listen to the tapes and meditate.

After listening to the Dhamma every day, the relationships between prisoners and those who govern them, such as the relationships between prisoners and those who govern them, are no longer as smooth as before, and there are no more problems.

Without any difficulties, there can be no maturity.

Everyone has a good heart. Sometimes they have a bad heart. But everyone has a good heart. It's important not to forget that. It's important not to forget that everyone has a good heart. If everyone treats everyone with a positive attitude and a good attitude, difficulties will be easier and easier to resolve.

If you think about the phrase "it will be easier with difficulties," it also means that difficulties exist.

If you ask yourself if life would be better if there were no difficulties, and if you think about it, you will think that it would be great if there were no difficulties in life. Some people often add to their prayers, "May my life be the way I want it to be." How many people have such a life? No.

Difficulties are a natural part of life. They will always be there.

When I was a young monk, I faced various difficulties, and sometimes I reached a point where I couldn't bear it anymore. At times like that, I yearned for a life without difficulties - it would be great.

However, as I gradually came to understand more about the nature of human life, and more about the nature of difficulties, I realized that not having difficulties is not a good thing. What is needed is the ability to deal with the difficulties we encounter with awareness, intelligence, and a big attitude.

So I want to understand deeply the difficulties that I will encounter in life. I also want to understand the best solutions. Because of this strong desire to understand, I have been studying life and the difficulties that people face with great enthusiasm, and I am still studying it now.

I learned to understand not only my own difficulties but also the difficulties of all people. Now I am satisfied with just understanding the difficulties. I am satisfied with being able to solve the difficulties naturally. I have come to see understanding the difficulties of the laypeople as an important and valuable work.

I am especially studying the difficulties of young people in their lives. I am more interested in the difficulties of social relationships.

A person who lives a life without any difficulties cannot be mature.

What a wonderful and blessed day!

There was a time when I thought it was a nuisance to be confronted with a problem.

I used to think that experiencing difficulties and problems was very disturbing, very troublesome, and very unsatisfactory.

If I think back on the words "I used to think," I realize that I don't think that way anymore.

If you can't understand a problem and can't solve it, you're more afraid of it. If you understand a problem, you're not afraid of it. I've come to understand that solving problems one by one is a routine part of life.

I tried to get rid of it.

I want to quickly get rid of the problem. I want to avoid it.

I tried to get somebody else to solve it for me.

I want someone else to solve my problems and difficulties.

I don't want to solve my own problems. I want others to solve them for me. I want to be a parent. I want to be a teacher. As a very young child, it's natural to expect your parents to solve your problems. But as an adult, it's not natural to expect someone else to solve your problems.

But that time was long ago.

This longing for others to solve my problems has been going on for a long time. It's over. It's over.

The time when I wanted to avoid solving my own problems was a long time ago. A long time ago.

It was a great day in my life when I discovered the wonderful purpose of problems.

When I understand the very unique and wonderful reasons for these problems and difficulties in life, I feel that the day I understand this is a very happy, encouraging, and special day for me.

I feel that I have improved my skills and self-confidence by understanding and solving difficulties, so I want to do more to increase my self-confidence. So I face difficulties and problems as much as I can. I don't want to avoid them anymore, and if I don't have difficulties, I won't be able to live without them.

If there were no difficulties, there would be nothing to do. There would be no need to use intelligence. There would be no need to exert effort. There would be no need to be patient. There would be no need to be generous.

However, if the difficulties are too great and you can't overcome them, it's not good. Some people even go crazy because they can't solve their problems. If the difficulties are too big, it's not good. It's good for a child to have difficulties as much as they can. It's good to struggle.

Yes, they have a wonderful purpose.

There is a very surprising reason for difficulties. Difficulties are beneficial.
