Chapter (1)
The teacher and the monkey
In the Mizzima region, about a century before the Buddha Gautama appeared, Sakulekai was the great university city of the Sunapranta kingdom and the city where the great teacher of the Disapamokkha lived. Princes, sons of the rich, sons of the wealthy, and sons of the poor from all over the world came to him to drink the milk of wisdom, and he had five hundred disciples.
Ngame was the most conspicuous of the five hundred disciples of the great teacher of the university. For Ngame's skin was very dark, almost black, and gleaming. He was five cubits tall, with a very round head, a very broad forehead, prominent ears, a broad chest, a small waist, white, straight limbs, fingers that looked as if they had been held up by candles, and a well-proportioned body, free from any swelling or soreness.
Ngame was filled with such strength and had a bright face. He spoke freely and without being called, and he often told funny stories, anecdotes, old sayings, and endearing words. As a result, all the students of the university did not respect him out of fear, but rather associated with him out of love.
Ngame was very polite in speech, and his ability to compose funny short stories and give advice, as well as his manners, made him very popular with his friends. Ngame's most outstanding virtue was that he never neglected his duties towards his teacher, and that he was able to master all the eighteen skills taught by his teacher, including the skills of the bow, the bow, and the bow, and that he was a scholar by nature. He had acquired, absorbed, and carried the knowledge of literature, making him an Aga. Therefore, the teacher paid the most attention to and liked Ngame among all his students.
Ngame had been teaching at the great university for three years when the master called his disciple and said this.
“My disciple, you have been in my school for three years and three years. You can enjoy the knowledge of human, celestial
Ngame looked up at the teacher with a slight desire to respond to that, then lowered his head and remained silent for a while. The teacher said, “My dear disciple, do you want to respond with an excuse? I accept it.” Ngame also said this respectfully.
“Thank you, venerable sir, what you have said is very good. However, it is necessary to say it, and I will tell you the story in order to increase the love of my disciples. When the Buddha appears in Zambudipa, as is rumored, will he save only those who can read and write? Will only those who are literate know the Dhamma and taste the taste of Nibbana? Will the Buddha, who has already appeared, grant the special taste of Nibbana to only those who are literate?”
“Well... my disciple said in the Shattara sense.” “Venerable teacher, in the bright world, people should learn to master the scriptures well. They should study and enjoy them. They should enjoy scriptures whenever they have time. Why? Only by knowing scriptures well can people learn the true essence of logic, Vedic literature, medical literature, chemistry, astrology, mathematics, social science, esoteric literature, esoteric literature, Gandhari literature, and various Shattara texts, etc., so that they can understand them well. But the disciple, the human stone, has mastered all kinds of knowledge by taking one side and by hearing and receiving oral instruction, and has become a poet. Except for the venerable Sayadaw, there is no equal, no match in every Suna, Paranta, and Aingit. Why do you use sticks that are not proportional? How can the meaning of the letters arranged in a way that is not pleasing to the disciple be of any use? Therefore, the teacher should not be saddened by the letters that are so twisted and twisted about me. The disciple, the golden stone of the human body, will possess the whole world and become a poet, the crown of the wise, and when it becomes more and more beautiful, it will make the teacher's grace and honor famous and clear. Thank you, teacher."
"My beloved disciple, the letters that are arranged on the sticks and sticks have created a difficult problem between me and you, and there is no room for argument or hesitation. Your performance on the worldly stage will be judged by your performance. I have a duty to discipline and release my disciple who is about to return in accordance with my duty, and I will fulfill that duty."
"I know that after I leave the world, you will be a brilliant scholar, a scholar who will dance and shine like a star. But you will not shine like the moon, free from the five evils. You will shine like the sun, piercing the clouds at the full moon. Therefore, I will point out the faults in you for the journey you are about to take. Listen."
Then Ngame did not think that he had committed any crime during his entire stay at the university. He did not think that he had done any wrong to the teacher. Therefore, he looked at the teacher with a very sad face, unable to blink an eye.
