Why are stories important?

Children need a lot of help from stories to overcome the difficulties and feelings they face every day. How can parents understand and help children who do not yet have the words to express their feelings? Children who do not yet know how to talk or understand what to say cannot be solved by feeding them on time and giving them a good cuddle.

For children who do not know anything, the best way to ease their attention in a world that is still unfamiliar to them is to tell stories. This is also the beginning of a communication system between parents and children. Instead of buying modern gadgets for children (starting from the age of a baby) and throwing them around like they want to play, set a regular time and spend time with the child while gently touching them. Then the bond between children and parents will become stronger. Children who listen to and obey their parents are children who have been blessed with good parents. The most memorable childhoods throughout their lives are the times when they listened to the stories their parents told with pleasure and interest.

Whether it's a story you make up yourself or a story you read to someone, listening to stories is a way to teach them to love reading. Books and the characters in them become your child's friends. Should you read with your child?
