Stubborn baby elephant
[African story]
Once upon a time, there lived a large family of elephants in Africa.
Among them, one baby elephant is very stubborn. He wants to live on his own. He doesn't do any work that others ask him to do. He is always persuaded,
Apologizing, blaming, all that doesn't mean anything. He's just doing whatever he wants.
* One day, the whole family decided to go play in the stream. The father told the baby elephant, who was not listening,
"Come on, stubborn boy, let's all take a bath."
"Mother."
"I don't want to go," the baby elephant replied rudely.
"You really like playing in the water, don't you?"
The mother spoke to him in a gentle voice. She listened to her son.
"I'm not going today," the baby elephant pouted.
"Don't be a child who doesn't listen to adults and doesn't understand the benefits."
The baby elephant's grandfather was persuasive.
"If we all go, you'll be left alone and bored."
"I'm never bored," the baby elephant replied stubbornly.
“I found a very beautiful fig tree.” The old man urged his grandson to follow him. “I will take you.” This time the little elephant remained quiet. “Now don’t be stubborn and follow me,” the old man shouted. Then the old woman shouted again.
"Are you kidding us? Come quickly." The baby elephant stood there, stubborn and unmoving.
"You know we're going to run around in the water and play?"
The baby elephant's siblings shouted, "No, no!"
The baby elephant roared and ran towards the forest.
The baby elephant's mother wanted to take her son with her, but the baby elephant's father stopped her.
"Let him go, even if he doesn't come, we'll go. That way he'll know."
"Mother."
So they all slowly left.
The baby elephant looked around, unable to believe that he had been left alone.
"It's hard"
The elephant said sadly. The elephant was very sad. They really were gone. He was all alone. He felt angry and wanted to cry. Who would he play with now?
"That's hard"
The baby elephant spoke loudly again. But how could the household hear him?
"I know," the baby elephant scolded.
"From now on, I'm not a child anymore," the baby elephant thought, and became more active. He felt happy.
Then he thought, "It would be better if I became some other creature."
The baby elephant decided this.
"I'll be a lion." He raised his four paws to the sky and landed heavily.
I'm rolling this way and that. I'm kicking and kicking, my four legs on the ground.
He had seen lion cubs do this. So he imitated it. But after a while, the elephant cub lost interest in doing this.
He got up tiredly. He stomped his big feet and walked through the thick grass.
A wild goat ran out of the forest, its face looking wide and scared.
"The baby goat is so beautiful," the baby elephant thought.
“I will play with him.” “I am also a wild goat.”
The baby elephant shouted loudly with joy and ran towards the baby goat. The baby goat jumped up and ran into the forest.
The baby elephant imitated the way a baby wild goat would hop and run away. He held his breath and stretched his big thighs. “I don’t think I can compete with the way a wild goat hops.”
The baby elephant, while talking, broke off a branch and made a stick out of it.
"It's crazy to run so fast," he said.
A beautiful tortoise came just in front of the baby elephant's feet. As the baby elephant tried to touch it with its long trunk, the tortoise jumped up a tree and hid behind a vine.
The baby elephant shouted as he followed the tortoise.
"Hey.. why did you run away all at once? I want to play with you. I'm a cute turtle too."
“Then why are you standing under the tree?” asked the little turtle, laughing. “Climb up, climb up to my side.”
The baby elephant is leaning on the tree with its two front legs and its trunk, hanging from the vine, trying to climb up.
At that moment, the beautiful tortoise screamed.
"Are you crazy? You're pulling down my most beautiful sun throne?" he said, and in the blink of an eye, the beautiful tortoise descended from the tree and disappeared among the grass and bushes.
"He doesn't want to play with me either," the baby elephant said angrily.
"I'll go find another friend, okay? What about you?"
"Why are you so big that I can rely on you?" The baby elephant walked on the grass angrily.
At this time, some baby monkeys were playing in the grass.
"They're having fun playing, aren't they?" The baby elephant seemed to understand...
"I just realized, I have to make a monkey," he said.
"Let me play with you," the baby elephant begged.
T
"Play as you wish..." the monkeys shouted sharply. They immediately gathered around their new partner.
The baby elephant was very happy. Now he had a friend.
But what kind of game is this? A baby monkey climbs on the back of a baby elephant and pulls its ears.
Another monkey grabbed the baby elephant's long trunk and pulled it. The third monkey grabbed the baby elephant's tail and pulled it back.
| The other monkeys grabbed the baby elephant's legs and pulled on its belly. Then they shouted, "Let it go quickly, you guys are doing a great job."
The baby elephant spoke angrily and tried to push the baby monkeys away.
"Let me go quickly, I don't like your games..."
The baby elephant was angry and stomped his feet and shouted. So the monkeys let him go. But they all made fun of the baby elephant.
The baby elephant quickly ran away from that place. He was not happy at all.
"How nice it would be if I went to bathe with the others?" (The baby elephant sighed regretfully. After he sighed, he ran to the stream.
From afar, the baby elephant could hear the clapping and laughter of his brothers and sisters playing in the water.
Everyone is seen having fun. "I'll play along too."
The baby elephant shouted loudly and ran to the shore, its ears flapping in the wind.
His father welcomed him by scooping up water with his trunk and blowing it on his body.
Then the uncle pushed him into the water.
The siblings ran to the stubborn child who had regained his composure. They immediately started playing water fights.
The baby elephant is happy inside.
"Living with an elephant is the only way to be happy"
He understood in his heart. From that day on, the baby elephant was no longer stubborn.
