DIALOGUE ON HISTORY OF BUDDHA

ဗုဒ္ဓဝင်အကြောင်း နိုင်ငံခြားသားများနှင့် ပြောဆိုဆွေးနွေးခြင်း

A: “What religion do you believe?"

ဘယ်ဘာသာ ကိုးကွယ်ဆည်း ကပ်ပါသလဲ။

B: “I'm a Buddhist.” “I believe in Buddhism."

ဗုဒ္ဓဘာသာဝင်တစ်ဦး ဖြစ်ပါ။ ဗုဒ္ဓဘာသာကို သက်ဝင် ယုံကြည်ပါတယ်။

A: “A Buddhist!" "Yes.... အော်-ဗုဒ္ဓဘာသာဝင် တစ်ကိုး။

B: “Of course, I mean a Buddhist is one who professes to be a follower of our Lord Buddha and accept His doctrine (dhamma)." ဗုဒ္ဓဘာသာဝင် တစ်ယောက်ဆိုတာ ဗုဒ္ဓရှင် တော်ဘု ရား ဟောကြားတဲ့ ဒေသနာတော်မြတ်ကို နာယူ ကျင့်ဆောင်တဲ့ ဥပါသကာကို ဆိုလိုပါတယ်။

A: “His name's Buddha?" ဗုဒ္ဓဆိုတာ ရှင်တော်ဘုရားရဲ့ အမည်လား။

B: “No, Buddha is the name of a state of mind.” မဟုတ်ပါဘူး။ ဂုဏ်တော်အားဖြင့် ရအပ်တဲ့အမည်ပါ။

A: “What's the essence of Buddhism?” ဗုဒ္ဓဘာသာရဲ့ အနှစ်သာရဟာ ဘာပါလဲ။

B: “It's based on the Four Noble Truths." သစ္စာလေးပါးအပေါ် အခြေခံပါတယ်။

1. **Yes?” ဘာကိုဆိုလိုပါသလဲ၊ ရှင်းပြနိင်ပါသလား။
2. “They are Dukha, (misery) Samudaya, (aggregation), Nirodha(cessation) and Magga (Means).”

ဒုက္ခ၊ သမုဒယ၊ နိရောဓနဲ့ မဂ္ဂသစ္စာများဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

Can you explain about it? ဟူ၍ မေးနိင်သော်လည်း နိင်ငံခြားသားများမှာ ဟန်အမူအရာဖြင့် Yes?” တစ်လုံးတည်းမေးမြန်းပြောဆိုတတ်ပါသည်။

A: “May I ask you what's the meaning of Buddha?

ဗုဒ္ဓရဲ့ အဓိပ္ပါယ်ဟာ ဘာဖြစ်ပါသလဲ။

B: “Enlightened one He who has the perfect wisdom.” မောဟတည်းဟူသော အမိုက်မှောင်ကင်း၍ သဗ္ဗညုတ ညဏ်တော်အလင်းရောင်ကို ရောက်ရှိသော ပုဂ္ဂိုလ်မြတ်ပါ။

A: “What's Buddha's real name?"

ဗုဒ္ဓ၏ အမည်တော်ရင်းက ဘာလို့ခေါ်ပါသလဲ။

B: “Siddhattha was His royal name. (Siddhattha means effected.) Gotama, His family name”.

မင်းမျိုးမင်းနွယ်အမည် သိဒ္ဓတ္ထဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ အကျိုးပြီးမြောက်ခြင်းလို့ အဓိပ္ပာယ်ရပါတယ်။ အနွယ်တော်က ဂေါတမအနွယ်တော်ပါ။

A: “Do you know the Life of Buddha?” ဗုဒ္ဓဝင်ဖြစ်စဉ်ကို သိပါသလား။

B: “Yes, of course." ဟုတ်ကဲ့၊ သိပါတယ်။

A: “How old is Buddhism?” ဗုဒ္ဓဘာသာဟာ နှစ်ပေါင်း ဘယ်လောက်ကြာသွားပြီလဲ။

B: “More than 2,500 years ago” နှစ်ပေါင်း (၂၅၀၀) ကျော်ပါပြီ။

A: “Where was it founded? By whom?" ဘယ်အရပ်မှာ ပေါ်ထွန်းပါသလဲ။ ဘယ်သူဟောကြားပါသလဲ။

B: “Founded in India-by the Buddha Himself in the sixth century B.C.” အိန္ဒိယပြည်မှာပါ။ မြတ်စွာဘုရားကိုယ်တော်တိုင် ခရစ်တော်မပေါ်မီ ၆-ရာစုအတွင်းဟောကြားခဲ့တဲ့ တရားတော်တွေဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

A: “Pitakats!" ပိဋကတ်တော်တွေလား။

B: “Yes, it's also known-Basket of Dhamma.” (Sutta, Vinaya and Abdidhamma)

ဟုတ်ကဲ့၊ တရားဘဏ္ဍာတိုက်လို့လဲ ထင်ရှားပါတယ်။(သုတ်၊ဝိနည်း၊အဘိဓမ္မာ၊တရားတွေပါပဲ။)

A: “Great!” ကြီးကျယ်ပါပေတယ်။

B: "To get the greatest wisdom, the Buddha Himself tried to accomplish ‘Paramis' (Virtue) in the existence”.

သဗ္ဗညုတ ရွှေ ဉာဏ်တော်ရဖို့အတွက် မြတ်စွာဘုရားရှင်ကိုယ်တော်မြတ်ဟာ သံသရာမှာ ပါရမီတော် ဖြည့်ကျင့်ဆည်းပူးခဲ့ရသည်။

A: Doctrine?” တရားတော်တွေလား။

ဗုဒ္ဓရဲ့ အဓိပ္ပါယ်ဟာ ဘာဖြစ်ပါ

တော်မပေါ်မီ ၆-ရာစုအတွင်း ဟောကြားခဲ့တဲ့ တရားတော် တွေဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

B: “Of course it is. Tri Pitakats” (Buddhistic Scriptures.) မှန်ပါတယ်။ ပိဋကတ်သုံးပုံပါပဲ။ ဗုဒ္ဓစာပေကျမ်းဂန်တွေပေါ့။

A: “Yes... yes." ဟုတ်ကဲ့၊ ဟုတ်ကဲ့- ဆက် ပြောပါဦး။

B: “Bodhisatta (The future Buddha) became the son of a very rich man named *Sumedha.”

ဘုရားအလောင်းတော်ဟာ လူချမ်းသာတစ်ယောက်ရဲ့ သားဖြစ်ခဲ့တယ်။ သုမေဓာလို့အမည်တွင်ခဲ့တယ်။

"His parents died of six teen, and the young millionaire's left with a great deal of gold and silver”

သုမေဓာ သူဌေးသားလေးရဲ့ မိဘတွေဟာ သူအသက် ၁၆-နှစ် သားအရွယ်မှာ ကွယ်လွန်အနိစ္စရောက်သွားကြတယ်။ သူ့မှာ ရွှေငွေအမြောက်အမြား ကျန်ခဲ့တယ်။

A.” Then” ဒီတော့ ဘာဖြစ်သလဲ။ ဆိုစမ်း ပါဦးဗျာ။

B: “Sumeda thought to himself, “My parents and grand-parents knew only how to get property but did not know to take it away beyond death.”

သုမေဓာ သူဌေးသားဟာ တစ်ယောက်တည်း စဉ်းစားတယ်။ ငါရဲ့ မိဘတွေ၊အဖိုးအဖွားတွေဟာ ပစ္စည်း ဥစ္စာ ဘယ်လိုရှာဖွေရမယ်ဆိုတာ သိကြတယ်။သူတို့သေတော့ ဥစ္စာတွေ ယူသွားနည်းမသိကြတော့ဘူး”

(အင်္ဂလိပ်ဘာသာတွင် ‘Sa’ သ မြန်မာအက္ခရာအသံထွက်မှာ ခက်ခဲမှုရှိပါသည်။’ဆ” အသံဖြင့် ထွက်ကြောင်း သတိပြုသင့်ပါ၏။ မြန်မာအခေါ် “သုမေဓာ”ကို “ဆုမေဓာ-Sumeda” ဟု အင်္ဂလိပ်လို အသံထွက်ပြီးပြောမှသာ နိင်ငံခြားသားနှင့် စကားပြောလျှင်အဆင်ပြေပါမည်။)

B: “So Sumeda gave away his property in alms.”

အဲဒါကြောင့် သုမေဓာ သူဌေးသားလေးဟာ သူ့ရဲ့ ပစ္စည်းဥစ္စာကို စွန့်ကြဲပေးလှူခဲ့တယ်။

A: “Good deeds!” ကောင်းမြတ်ပါပေတယ်။

B: “That's right. He knew very well; the merit of the deed would follow him after death."

မှန်တာပေါ့။ပြုတဲ့ကုသိုလ်ဟာ ကွယ်လွန်တဲ့အခါ အကျိုးဆက်အဖြစ်လိုက်မယ်ဆိုတာ သူသိတာပေါ့။
