ဆရာညွန့်၀ေမိုး - တက္ကသိုလ်ဝင်တန်းအက်ဆေးနှင့်ပေးစာများ

Birthday

- တက္ကသိုလ်ဝင်စာမေးပွဲ အင်္ဂလိပ်စာမေးခွန်းလွှာမှာ မေးလေ့ရှိတဲ့ အက် ဆေးနဲ့ ပေးစာခေါင်းစဉ် အကြောင်းအရာတွေဟာ များသောအားဖြင့် စာသင် သားတွေနဲ့ ရင်းနှီးကျွမ်းဝင်ပြီးသား ခေါင်းစဉ်နဲ့ အကြောင်းအရာတွေကို မေးလေ့ ရှိတတ်ပါတယ်။ အက်ဆေးနဲ့ ပေးစာခေါင်းစဉ်တွေဟာ ရွေးချယ်ဖြေစရာ (choice) ပေးထားလေ့ရှိပါတယ်။ ရွေးစရာ အက်ဆေးခေါင်းစဉ် ၃ ခု၊ ပေးစာ အကြောင်းအရာ ၂ ခုထဲမှာ စာသင်သားတို့နဲ့ရင်းနှီးပြီးသား ခေါင်းစဉ်နဲ့ အကြောင်းအရာ အနည်းဆုံး တစ်ခုတော့ ပါလေ့ရှိပါတယ်။ ခြွင်းချက်တော့ တစ် ခါတစ်လေရှိတတ်တာကို တွေ့ရတာက 2002 ခုနှစ်ကလို ပေးစာ ၂ ဆောင်မှာ တစ်စောင်က နွေရာသီကျောင်းအားရက်မှာ စက်ချုပ်သင်တန်းတက်ဖို့နဲ့ နောက် တစ်စောင်က နွေရာသီကျောင်းပိတ်ရက်အတွင်း ဦးလေးရဲ့ အလုပ်ရုံမှာ အလုပ်ဝင်လုပ်ချင်ကြောင်း ရေးခိုင်းတဲ့စာတွေကို တွဲမေးတဲ့အခါမျိုးကတော့ တစ်မျိုး ပေါ့။ ဒါပေမယ့် ဒါမျိုးကလည်း ဖြစ်ခဲပါတယ်။ မေးခွန်းဟောင်းတွေကို ပြန် လေ့လာကြည့်ရင် ခေါင်းစဉ်အကြောင်းအရာတွေဟာ စာသင်သားတွေ ရေးနိုင် လောက်တဲ့ ခေါင်းစဉ်တွေ ဖြစ်တာများတာကို တွေ့ရပါလိမ့်မယ်။ ။

အဲဒီလို ခေါင်းစဉ်တစ်ခုကတော့ မွေးနေ့ (birthday) အကြောင်း ဖြစ်ပါ တယ်။ စာသင်သားတွေထဲက အားလုံးနီးပါးဟာ ကိုယ့်မွေးနေ့ာ မိဘကဖြစ်စေ၊ ကိုယ့်ဘာသာဖြစ်စေ၊ တစ်နည်းနည်းနဲ့တော့ မွေးနေ့ပွဲ ကျင် ပဖူးကြတယ် မဟုတ်လား။ ကိုယ်က မကျင်းပဖူးရင်သော်မှ သူငယ်ချင်းတစ်ယောက်ယောက်နဲ့ မွေးနေ့ပွဲမှာတော့ သွားတက်ရောက်ဖူး၊ မွေးနေ့လက်ဆောင်ပေးဖူးမှာပေါ့။ ဒီတော့ မွေးနေ့ဆိုတဲ့ခေါင်းစဉ်၊ အကြောင်းအရာက စာသင်သားတို့နဲ့ ရင်းနှီးကျွမ်းဝင် တာပေါ့။ ပြီးတော့ မွေးနေ့ဆိုတဲ့ခေါင်းစဉ်ဟာ Unit 1: The Calendar သင် ခန်းစာနဲ့လည်း ဆက်နွယ်မှုရှိတဲ့ ခေါင်းစဉ်တစ်ခုလည်းဖြစ်တယ်။ တက္ကသိုလ်ဝင် စာမေးပွဲတွေမှာ မကြာမကြာမေးခဲ့သလို နောင်လည်းမေးနေဦးမည့် ခေါင်းစဉ် ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ 2002 ခုနှစ် ဧရာဝတီတိုင်းနဲ့ ကချင်ပြည်နယ်မှာမေးခဲ့တဲ့ How I Celebrated My Last Birthday လေ့ကျင့်ရေးသားကြည့်ရအောင်။

                    How I Celebrated My Last Birthday

           Birthdays are milestones indicating how many years a person has passed. People celebrate their birthdays in different ways. Some offer the members of Sanga with “soon“ and offertories on their birthdays. Some donate money to Home for the Aged or Orphanage. Some do meritorious deeds by worshipping the Buddha and keeping sabbath. But most towndwellers celebrate their birthdays by giving a party.

My birthday falls on 25 September. I celebrate my birthday in some way or other every year. Last year I celebrated, my birthday in the following way. At our home, my parents and. I offered “soon” to Sayadaw and monks of Thantithukha Kyaungtaik on 25 September last year. We listened to Sayadaw's sermon and kept sabbath. After Sayadaw and the monks left, we prepared to entertain the invited guests. We invited the residents in our street and I invited my close friends. We served the guests vermicelli soup and ice-cream. At noon all the guests but my close friends left. In the afternoon, my friends and I sang karaoke songs by turn.

We also played video games. When we had sung and played games to our heart's content, we took a nap for 25 minutes. Then we took a bath and changed our dresses. We hailed a taxi and went to Dolphin Restaurant We had dinner there and enjoyed listening to the songs the singers entertained. After having our dinner, we parted company and I came back home.

Letter အတွက် Birthday နဲ့ဆိုင်တဲ့ မေးခွန်းဟောင်းတွေကို ရေကြည့်ရအောင်၊ 1999 ခုနှစ်၊ ရန်ကုန်တိုင်း၊ ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ်နဲ့ နိုင်ငံခြား စာစစ်ဌာန တွေမှာ မေးခဲ့တဲ့ အင်္ဂလိပ်စာ မေးခွန်းလွှာက  Letter  တပုဒ်ကိုရေးကြည့်မယ် ။ မရေးခင် Instruction  ကိုဖတ်ကြည့်ပါ။

Why are you keeping so silent? You treat me like a stranger. I'm very angry with you because you forgot my birthday and didn't send your best wishes.

You know, you and I are the same age. I turned 18 on 9th September. I threw a birthday party at home. I invited my relatives and close friends only. My birthday party started with the ceremonial cutting of my birthday cake and everyone chanted “Happy birthday to you”. Then I treated the invited guests with noodles in coconut milk gravy. As for desserts, I served the guests with ice-cream, cakes and jelly. After that my friends and I opened the packets of birthday presents. Lu Lu took my photos. And we sang songs happily. They wrote their best wishes and autographs in iny auto book.

In the evening, our family went to Shwedagon and offered flowers and candles. We donated some money for the renovation of the Great Shwedagon. On our return from the Pagoda, we dropped in on Shankan Restaurant and had buffet dinner. When we got back home, we had a chat for some time. Then we went to bed.

 

         I was very happy on my birthday. It's a very special day for me, Oh, I almost forgot to boast about one special present. My parents gave a diamond ring as a birthday present. You envy me, don't you? Well, you might think I'm long-winded. Let me stop here. Remember if you forget my birthday next time, I'll disown you as a friend.
