After the criticism

There are four main reasons that motivated me to write this article.

Number one is the statement made by General Kyaw Win, the chairman of the Myanmar Football Federation, in an interview, “You can criticize the federation. You can make suggestions. We can’t resist asking questions or making suggestions.” Every media person likes it. I like it too.

Number two is the issue of our First ElevenSportsJournal>PremierElevenSportsJournal team not being able to attend the press conference of the BIMSTEC Youth Championship team. (Only one junior reporter arrived near the end of the match.) The editor-in-chief informed us at 9:30 that the ceremony, which was scheduled to start at 10:00, was not able to attend.

I can't accept it. Number three is that the editorial staff of the three journals I manage, First Eleven SportsJournal, PremierElevenSportsJournal, and ElevenInternationalJournal, have discussions with me or specially invited guests twice a week. In one of the discussions, I ask them questions outside their journals. Most of them are very weak in knowledge outside their journals. Especially the editorial staff of sports journals have the view that if they are only experts in football, they are experts. They are experts. The only thing they want to be experts in is the current European competitions. I can't stand it.

Number four, a young man who studies international literature and international newspapers and constantly surfs the Internet said, “In international newspapers, there is no criticism, insertion, or personal criticism of the content and news articles published in one (especially in competitors). For example, Newsweek magazine criticizes articles published in Time magazine, and all newspapers published abroad (as far as he can reach) do not write like this at all. However, there are many journals in Myanmar that are now focusing on these issues. Some journals not only write personal comments, but also criticize the covers of the journals. He said he wanted to know about media ethics. It is a question worth asking, and I also wanted to know and searched.

A friend of mine found the shortest motto for a journalist. "Trust me, I am a Journalist." It's the shortest and most effective for journalism and ethics.

The basic requirements for being a journalist or a media outlet are honesty, truthfulness, and trustworthiness.

If you have these qualities, you will have solved the four reasons that motivated me to write.

Basically for a media outlet or journalist

(1) There must be a specific policy or a firm principle.

(2) Must have sufficient expertise in the subject matter of his/her writing.

(3) Must observe and follow the Media Ethics that apply to the work they do.
