Chapter (1)

How to add a new member

One night, when the cold weather was pouring down with rain and the wind was blowing, all the good people and the good people, who had nothing important to do, were curled up in their beds to keep warm. On the Merchant Street side of Yangon's Queen's Park (now Bandoola Park), a man wearing a large raincoat and a hat that partially covered his face was pacing back and forth near the iron posts, as if waiting for someone.

Soon, as the clock tower at the High Court building struck 11, the last chime of the hour was still ringing in the air when a large sedan driving at a leisurely pace suddenly stopped on the side of the road near him.

The two large headlights in the front of the car were dim, and the interior light was also off, so it was pitch black inside.

The man who was walking along the sidewalk thought for a moment, then suddenly approached the side of the car, opened the door, got in, and sat down. There was no one else in the car, only the driver sitting in the front. The man who had gotten in was trembling inside, as if he understood the extreme importance of what he was about to do. The driver who had come to drive the car did not move, but sat as still as a stone, and the car was also stationary, so they sat there in silence for a long time. Finally...

Driver : "What's the deal? Have you decided yet?"

Passenger .. “I came because I had decided. Tell me what you want. Tell me what you want, and I will tell you what I want.”

Driver : “I already know what you want. No need to tell me.”

Traveler : "If you know, tell me."

Driver .. “You are planning to commit suicide because you cannot invest other people’s money in return. On the other hand, you are worried that an enemy will find out about a crime you committed a long time ago and turn you in to the police. That is why you secretly bought a bottle of poison from a friend of yours who works in a pharmacy three days ago, and you are planning to commit suicide if your horse does not win the race on Saturday, right?”

The passenger was amazed to hear his secretaries being told so intimately, and he stared with his mouth open, while the driver laughed softly. Then...

Driver : "Okay, then. If I help you get out of this predicament, will you take care of the matter?"

Passenger : "What kind of case?"

Driver . . . “The matter is easy for you. Just do as I ask. There is no danger to you. The money is good. You just have to take out the notes I give you and spend them. The notes that you will hand over are numbered in the police’s hands, so it will be difficult for me to use them. You just have to exchange the notes at the bank. It is not difficult at all. If you do this, I will pay off your debts, and what will be the difference?”

Passenger .. (Suddenly without answering) "What is the "Three Wa" team?"

Driver : "You are the three-point team."

Traveler : (Surprised) "How could it be me?"

Driver : "You are also a member of the team. There are more than a hundred members of the team like you. But you don't know them. And they don't know you."

Passenger : "What about you?"

Driver : "I know everything. What's the matter? Do you agree with what I said?"

Passenger .. (After thinking for a while) “I agree.”

Driver .. “Okay... that's it.”

Then the driver handed him a large, bulging envelope. The three-way member took the envelope and put it in his undershirt pocket. Then the driver said, “Okay, then get off,” and the man got out of the car without asking. When he got down, the man wanted to see the driver’s face, so he walked to the front and lit a cigarette as if to light it…

Driver .. “Don’t do it, don’t want to know me. People who know me don’t stay long in the human world. Remember this, do you hear?”

A moment later, the car drove away, and the man stood there, his knees shaking as he looked up at the car. It was a real shock. Because even people who were not as scared as this man would always feel their knees shaking when they entered the territory of the Three-Way Association.

Three words

If the law that “the death penalty must be enforced until death” had been in place since the original law was drafted when a defendant was sentenced to death by hanging, about ten people who lost their lives at the hands of the “Three Wa Gang” would probably still be alive today.

However, not to mention the laws that people have to make and approve, even the rules and regulations that the Buddha himself has decided upon only appear one by one when the occasion arises and have to be supplemented, amended, changed, etc., as circumstances dictate . It is not surprising that, as defects are found in the old laws and regulations, they need to be supplemented and amended from time to time with new laws.

The defendant, a notorious criminal, was once spared life only after he had climbed the gallows due to a flaw in an old law.

Bowa was sentenced to death for murdering three or four people and committing a robbery, and was once hanged in the Katha prison. The robbers, who were his disciples, bribed the prison officials and the authorities, and cut the rope around his neck with a knife, leaving only a small piece. When Bowa was lowered from the gallows, the rope snapped and he fell.

The people were about to hang the only slightly bruised defendant Bowa on the gallows again, but the defendant's robe, which was waiting ready, told the judge nearby that he was not allowed to hang the defendant again because he had already been hanged.

Finally, the judge temporarily suspended the execution and sent the defendant's case to the court for review. The judge's verdict did not include the words "to be executed until he dies" but simply stated "to be hanged." However, it was difficult to put the defendant on the gallows again after he had already been hanged.

Finally, the highest judicial officer, although he did not release the accused Bova at once, decided to hang him a second time, and changed the sentence from death to life imprisonment, as he had no doubt that he would be hanged.

After serving four or five years of imprisonment on an island, Bowa, like a truly brave man, escaped and continued to commit evil deeds.

From that time on, a tradition arose to include in the sentences of judges who ordered executions the words "to be hanged until death."
