Some people, no matter how rich they are in terms of money, are plagued by the same amount of sorrow and lack of happiness.
Some people with high positions, despite their high status in public opinion, are unable to show love and compassion for others, or to be happy for the comfort and success of others, and are thus tormented by the spirit of resentment.
Many successful and famous people are not happy for the same reasons.
Indeed..
Wealth, position, and fame are all things that can bring happiness and satisfaction to a person. But they alone are not enough.
To be fully happy and prosperous, a person also needs to have a healthy and clean mental foundation.
The building is built with love, compassion, and equanimity. There is also a mind that tends to ignore and not develop feelings where they are not needed.
We must cultivate a strong and steadfast spirit that will not lose composure in very good situations, and will not waver in very bad situations.
This book, titled Heart-Nutritional Foods, presents a collection of healthy foods that will provide the reader with all the mental strength they need to build a healthy and clean mental structure.
I hope that by reading these “letters,” neatly packaged like a packet of nutrition or a vitamin capsule, the reader will experience the following benefits: being able to sleep soundly at night with a heart full of goodness, and being able to greet the world with a clear heart and a happy mind in the morning. With eternal respect to the reader,
Father Myint
Boy and dog
The store owner put up a new sign on the door.
"Puppies for sale."
The children were very interested in this kind of advertisement. They are dog lovers, aren't they? After a while, a child came to the shop.
“How much does a puppy cost?” he asked.
“The prices range from $30 to $50,” the shopkeeper replied.
The boy pulled out some coins from his pocket. "I have $2.37. Can I see the dogs?"
The shop owner smiled. Then he whistled to the big dog in the kennel. The big dog ran into the shop, and five puppies followed her in a row. They were small, with long fur covering their entire bodies. One of them was left behind. He didn't walk with a limp.
The boy was immediately interested when he saw it.
"What happened to this dog?"
The shop owner explained that the veterinarian had told the puppy that he would be lame for the rest of his life because he was born without a hip socket.
The boy became more interested. "I want to buy this dog," he said.
"Huh.. don't buy it, if you really want it, I'll give it to you."
Hearing this, the boy's face turned pale. He looked up at the shop owner with a dissatisfied expression and replied.
"I don't want to give it away for free. This dog is worth the same as the others, not a penny less. I'll pay full price, but I only have $2.37 right now. Take that for now, and I'll keep paying you fifty cents a month until you're paid off." But the shopkeeper wouldn't budge.
"Don't buy it, kid, you'll be disappointed later, this dog won't be able to run around, he won't be able to jump around with you."
Then the boy looked up at the shopkeeper, rolled up the bottom of his pants, and said in a low voice.
"I can't run well either. Papi needs someone who will sympathize with him."
The boy's left leg was so badly deformed that it had to be reinforced with metal rods to help him walk.
