A scholar. He reads to understand the reason.
I read because I enjoy the feeling of being immersed in the story and plot of the book.
Similarly, I read because I am inspired by the new knowledge, new perspectives, and new feelings that literature provides.
As a reader, for various reasons, reads, he becomes fascinated with books, just as he delights in writing. Just as he becomes attached to the authors of books, he also comes to regard each other as his own.
For the reader, not only the facts and plots in the books, but also the biographies of the authors and the histories of the books themselves, become things to be curious about and to be passed down.
In other words, it is about spreading the joy of writing to the world of books.
This book, titled "Book World," was created for those who have a strong love for books.
The book mainly contains literature that has given people new insights and new perspectives, and then, through that insights and those movements, has changed society... In other words, ideas and writings that have shaken the world.
In addition, libraries, large and small, have been treasure troves of knowledge throughout the ages, collecting and storing books and documents in various forms, whether written on clay tablets, on stone, on reeds, on thin sheets of leather, on paper, and later distributed on electronic devices.
Then, there are books that sell for millions of copies, rare books that are bought at auctions and hoarded, books that are almost revered by the world of literary lovers, books that are found and destroyed by the unwelcome community, books that are cut up, torn up, and burned at the stake because they are considered dangerous to the public, etc. Then there are writers who are revered as wise poets, great creators, and others who have lived in obscurity for many years and then reached the pinnacle of success with their work. In addition, there are writers and scribes who have been imprisoned, crucified, and burned along with their books for writing.
Then, despite the severe punishments of not being able to study or read, those who ventured into the world of books by reading each and every book, those who immersed themselves in the library's collections for a lifetime, those who faced various dangers, including being buried alive, for the knowledge they had acquired with great faith and love, ...
Etc. Etc. ... All kinds of things related to writing or "books" are collected in a way that is shared among friends.
I hope that what I have described will be of interest to scholars.
With eternal respect to the reader,
Father Myint
Cute little library
Whenever I have the chance to travel abroad, I rush to libraries and bookstores. There are so many interesting things in foreign countries. However, it is impossible to keep up with everything that is unique. In the little time I have, I focus on the areas that are relevant to me.
Between the library and the bookstore, I prefer the bookstore. Because I can buy some of my favorite books with my own money. In the library, I am a passing visitor, so I can't even borrow and read a book at a time. I always feel uncomfortable looking at the vast number of books and documents, as if I were in a world of wonder.
Anyway, when I arrived in Singapore, I went to the National Library with my bookworm friends. The library has many floors. Each floor has a lot of books. It is impossible to browse through them, but I went up to every floor. I quickly walked around the large halls with bookshelves. As I walked around the bookshelves, I read the subject names written on the shelves and picked up a book from one shelf that interested me the most.
If I had a bad leg, I would sit down somewhere and take a book in hand, looking at the modern and new layout of the library. After that, I would ask questions and take notes on how to use the library, how to borrow books, how to return them, etc., and then quickly cut off the connection to the matter that did not concern me and left the library.
However, when I arrived at the local library in my friends’ neighborhood in Singapore, I was quite excited. Having been to a multi-story library in the city center before, the library seemed small to me, and I wanted to go up a little. However, it is actually a three-story building. The top floor is used for exhibitions, concerts, and seminars, while the lower two floors are used for bookshelves and reading rooms.
I first went to the children's library and reading rooms on the ground floor.
The first thing I noticed was the bookshelves, which were made in the shape of colorful children. The shelves, which were only big enough for a child, were filled with books. The bookshelves were labeled with the types of books and the age range they were related to. The youngest age was 0 - 4 (zero-two-four). Books for children under 4 years old. Age zero means that the baby is still in the womb. If it is out, it is more than zero. Then the bookshelf belongs to the library.
But I noticed that a baby who was not yet fully 10 years old was walking among the bookshelves with his brothers and sisters from the womb. A baby who was not yet a year old was standing on a chair, pressing computer buttons while making a loud noise. Two or three children were sitting on a colorful train car near the shelves, reading.
Some little bookworms are pulling books off the shelves. The reader reads the books, the reader flips them. One child is reading the book page by page, pointing at the pictures, and reading in a whisper to himself. His book has no words. Only pictures. Another child is reading a stack of books that he had taken off the shelves earlier and is putting them one by one into a pile marked "Books to be put back." As is customary in libraries, the books will later be put back in their respective places on the shelves by the library staff.
There's 0.4, there's 5 - 6. There's 5 - 9, there's 10-12. And then there's 13-19 for the kids and young adults who are older than them.
There is also a librarian who provides book recommendations for children, who can answer any questions they may have. They can guide those who don't know what books to read, and help those who want to know what kind of books to read.
The school asked me to write an essay on a topic, and I asked what books I should read. I was given a book to choose from.
Children are given books with only one or two lines of text per page, but the ideas that adults and parents believe, the ideas that are considered good and right and should be followed, are presented in a way that children can understand through pictures. The name written on the bookshelf where such books are collected is Corp Books for 5-6 Years Old. The concept is the knowledge, ideas, and identities mentioned earlier.
For example, let's say.
One article depicts a large bird called the Dodo. It is a type of bird, but it cannot fly. It is larger than a turkey. However, its wings are small in proportion to its body. Its tail is also not very long. At first glance, it looks like a short-tailed hen. However, its beak and large feet are like those of an eagle or a vulture.
After making the bird interesting, you will not see the dodo in the zoo because it is no longer there, it can neither fly nor run fast, and it is being tortured and killed by people and other animals. Now there are no more of its kind, etc., and it creates a sense of pity and compassion in the child for the dodo bird that became extinct about 300 years ago. It is a way of preparing the child's heart to feel and understand the views of adults, such as the need to preserve rare animals and protect the environment from destruction, even before they can think and understand with their minds.
| By reading concept books with interest, children gradually become familiar with the concepts, values, and right and wrong judgments of the society they will grow up in.
Similarly, books and materials that will help children appreciate art, develop a creative mind, develop an interest in the natural environment, and enrich their knowledge of health, social relationships, family life, etc. are also arranged according to age levels.
But what children love most are real stories. There are many storybooks for 6- to 9-year-olds that are appropriate for their reading ability, and more complex classic and modern picture books for 10- to 12-year-olds.
In addition to organizing opportunities to borrow books to read, it also provides children with opportunities to socialize and improve their reading skills.
There are also special programs that are designed to help you develop your own habits of self-awareness.
For example, there is a children's story-reading program, where children between the ages of 4 and 7 are read their favorite stories by children who are already proficient readers of similar age to them, thus inspiring the children to want to read stories themselves.
It also provides a platform for children who have reached this stage to develop a love of reading.
In addition to this kind of circle, there are also arrangements for book lovers to share stories or books they have read and enjoyed with others. Small bulletin boards, such as those that are hung on the wall, are used to write on small pieces of paper and
