Mother Yaksha
King Konbaung, who had tried to block his path like a thorn in his side, had driven away the young king, and the waves and the wind were moving up and down along the Irrawaddy River, whispering and whispering, creating a time of great unrest.
"The white elephant's son will be taken away by a dragon," the saying, "The water, the treasure, and the tabaung" suddenly appeared according to the tradition of the tabaung. No one can say who first appeared. With that saying, the lotuses and lotuses appeared and came along the night of the lower Ramayana. Those who were dissatisfied with all kinds of things thought that it was the new Lord Skaramin, and they became more and more restless. The government officials were pressed with a strong hand, and they cooled down a bit.
In such a situation, the story that will be told below is not an unusual one. It is not something extraordinary that a man in his thirties, holding a little girl of about 12 years old by the hand, arrives at a small hut not far from the riverbank of Yangon in the dead of night. Because running away in secret is a common occurrence in such situations.
In that house, a large oil lamp flickered and a woman of about thirty years old was smoking a cigarette and looking towards the front of the house, as if she was thinking a lot. At one point, she leaned forward and craned her neck into the darkness in front of and next to the house. The woman seemed to be looking at someone.
The man also took a young girl by the hand and stood in front of the house. The woman seemed to be very frightened. She also seemed to be worried. She didn't say anything for a long time and then -
“Ko Taing Kyaw.. what have you done? Even today, you are causing us trouble? Say what you want and leave quickly. If we find you, we will die too.”
He said, trembling with fear.
Ko Tain Kyaw took out the sword from his waist, looked back at the shadow behind him, and without saying a word, he entered the hut.
"My dear brother, what will you do?"
"The landlady pointed to a boy, about 13 years old, sleeping on a nearby bench. Maung Tain Kyaw looked at his son with a clear face, nodded, sat down next to his wife, aimed at the lamppost, and said, "
"What did you do that made you not want Kyat to come? Why am I in this situation? Who are you looking to now? Aren't you looking to me?"
He said. The woman said.
"Ko Tain Kyaw....why did you come and torture me? Don't let me talk too long, ' Go quickly. Whose child is coming with you? Your child?"
He asked. Maung Tain Kyaw said -
"I don't want you to stay long. I brought a little sister because I don't have any siblings. Don't ask me who she is, just give her a try. I also took some money for her expenses here."
"He said, taking out the money from the empty cloth bag and giving it to her. When the landlady heard the sound of money, she calmly looked at Maung Tain Kyaw and the little girl in turn, and picked up the money. Maung Tain Kyaw also took the little girl in his arms and
"This is your mother. Uncle Kyi is going. Don't worry about anything, I will raise you like my own daughter."
", saying, he handed the little girl into the arms of the landlady, Ma Phyu, who took the little girl and hugged her tenderly. Then Maung Tain Kyaw said -
"I'm going to... kyats. I'll raise my son and my daughter well. This money is close enough for you to spend kyats."
"He said and left the house, disappearing into the darkness. Ma Phyu and the little girl Ma Myo Nyunt looked at Ko Tain Kyaw in the darkness.
Chapter (1)
Several days before the events described above, two men were seen in the darkness of a thicket in the deep forest of Twante. One of the men was kneeling on the ground, holding another man in his arms. Their shining swords were shining in the darkness, lying on the ground. The lifeblood that flowed from the side of the man being held, like a spring, flowed warmly and shone on the ground. The man said in a weak voice, "My dear brother, Master Taing Kyaw, I must give up this cruel and wicked life. Your blood is slowly taking your life away, so your strength is exhausted. Soon, before the sun that can be seen in the west disappears, you will have to bury your body in this forest. But in your heart, there is a suffering that is more intense than the pain you are feeling now. If you can cool the fire of this suffering, you will be on the right path to death." He held the student's hand.
The disciple Tain Kyaw said, “Here is the order, teacher. I know that the disciple is a person who follows the teacher’s orders without hesitation.” Then the teacher said, “The teacher does not have a wife. My mother died when she was young and she lives with a very poor uncle, named Ma Myo Nyunt, in Pathein. If you promise to take care of this daughter so that she will not be poor in her life, the teacher will be honest.”
Maung Taing Kyaw said, "Good, sir. Don't worry about my daughter, Ma Myo Nyunt. I will look after your daughter like a disciple. I will trust you and give you the three treasures." He encouraged her. Then, the master, in a gesture of gratitude, held the disciple's hand tightly and looked at his face. "Hmm... he lowered his head. His head rose. His head fell again, then he tilted it to the side and opened his mouth. After a while, the swordsman Bo Tok, who had become a warrior, said, "The king's glory, the thunder of the sky, does not live in the forest of the people," and was wounded by the hands of the king's soldiers and went to the forest to seek refuge.
That's why, in the previous chapter, Maung Tain Kyaw had to secretly bring Ma Moe Nyunt to his house.
Chapter (2)
At that time, Yangon was not as crowded or large as it is now, but in a way it was very young and pleasant. The wide streets that we can walk on now, looking at the large buildings, were then surrounded by forests and forests, and the wind was always clean and fresh. - Those streets sometimes encountered small mud ponds and broken trees, so they were connected by small wooden bridges and small bridges. Many houses looked out onto the unobstructed river, and they enjoyed the very cool and clean air.
Ma Myo Nyunt lived in Ma Phyu's house as a daughter, and by the time she was 14 years old, she had become a very beautiful person. She was quite tall, with sharp, piercing eyes that were very clear and bright, and could clearly see the movements and changes of her inner self like a mirror. If she suddenly looked at her sternly, she would quickly soften and soften when she felt pity. When she was alone with her beautiful brother, those eyes were infinitely gentle. When Ma Myo Nyunt looked at those eyes, he would not only lie down on the very soft cotton, but also feel happy and content. Her skin was yellow and plump, so she had a very straight and compact body. When she smiled, her teeth, which were as bright as rot, and her red lips, had the courage to conquer and crush the hearts of men. Moreover, Maung Baw Tin and Ma Myo Nyunt knew from the depths of their bones that although they were now living like brother and sister, they were not really siblings. This brought comfort to both of them. Despite this, nothing had changed, and the only difference was that they loved each other as children and could not be separated from each other for long.
One evening, the two siblings were wandering around the edge of a forest near the Sule Pagoda. It was the full moon, a time when the sun was at its most powerful in manipulating the surface of the earth. The umbrella of the Sule Pagoda and the bird's nest were bathed in a golden glow, as if they were about to soar into the sky. About a fish's throw away, in front of them, a small wave, part mud and part water, was swaying in the wind, and the movement of the inner mind could be clearly seen through the mirror. If they suddenly looked at each other with a stern look, they would quickly soften and be at peace with their beautiful brother. When they were alone with their beautiful brother, those eyes were infinitely gentle. When Maung 0-yin looked into those eyes, he felt not only a sense of comfort but also a sense of well-being. His skin was yellow and plump, so he had a very straight and compact body. When he smiled, his teeth, which were as bright as rot, and his red lips, had the courage to conquer and crush the hearts of men. In addition, Maung 0-yin and Ma Myo Nyunt knew from the marrow of their bones that although they were now like brother and sister, they were not really siblings. This brought comfort to the hearts of both of them. However, they did not commit any wrongdoing, and the only difference was that they loved each other as children and could not be separated for a long time.
One evening, the two brothers were wandering around the edge of a forest near the Sule Pagoda. It was the full moon, the time when the sun was at its most powerful in manipulating the surface of the earth. The umbrella and the bird's beak of the Sule Pagoda were bathed in a golden glow, as if they were about to soar into the sky. About a fish's throw in front of them, there was a patch of mud and water, partly covered with small waves, partly covered with mud, partly covered with water, and the rays of the sun, which was heading west, seemed to be reflected in the clear water. The image of the Sule Pagoda on the right was also reflected in the water. As Maung O Tin and Ma Myo Nyunt sat together, admiring the beautiful evening scenery, the tall leaves of the forest behind them shone brightly, as if sprinkled with gold dust, and the lower part of it was quiet, green, and very peaceful.
Maung Win picked up a stone and threw it into the water. The water began to move, and the bright water droplets rose like flowers in the sunlight. Ma Myo Nyunt, the calm figure she had been looking at, moved and disappeared, and her face turned to the sky, her eyes wide.
"Why do you want to disturb me like this? Don't you know I'm staring?"
He grabbed Bhawin's hand and released it, then went under the nearby branches, leaves, and twigs, and sat down, covering his arms and knees with his hands. Then Bhawin, not adjusting his posture or paying attention to the branches, the shade, and the sunlight, stared at Ma Myo Nyunt, who was sitting simply, and said, "How beautiful she is." Ma Myo Nyunt, not paying attention to him, just looked at the lake in front of him, and then looked at Bhawin and said,
"Oh.... Bhavin. What are you staring at? Don't look at me like that. I don't like being stared at."
