One spring in 2010, "While traveling to Kyaukpyu and Mandalay with my students, we met a pregnant woman who was in distress because her bus had broken down on the way. We helped her and sent her to the new hospital in Nay Pyi Taw in time, so she gave birth smoothly."
The sister of the patient, Ms. Sandin Nwe, thanked our group for writing to visit their parents’ house in Kyaukse Township, where they lived. As a token of gratitude, Ms. Sandin Nwe’s father, a retired forest chief, gave us a copper amulet (jewel) as a token of gratitude. After working on the development of the villages where the volunteer teachers worked and the Mya Sein Pagoda, we set off to the “front camp” in the Pyinmana forest reserve, where we encountered armed foresters and loggers. We discovered a treasure map, but the map pointed towards the Mya Sein archipelago, so we had to stop for a while.
Village development, pagodas and roads, electricity supply, and after the Tabaungla Pagoda Festival, my childhood sweetheart's daughter Yun Pwint San and doctor Maung Zaw from Mandalay went on a honeymoon after the wedding to search for treasure in the Myeik archipelago, as described in the novel "A Little Bit of Time".
The Mya Sein Pagoda Festival is celebrated for (5) days with great enthusiasm. Previously, Mya Sein Pagoda, located on the banks of the Panlaung River near the Tada U Goi Road, and Ohn Lak Kaung Village, Nandi Taung Village, Mrauk Village, Nay Pu Village, and Kon Thar Village, which were little known, have become famous and well-known even during the festival days due to their bright lights and flat concrete roads. It is also close to the Amarapura Airport and is the residence of the famous Ohn Lak Kaung Sayadaw in Kyaukse Township, so it will soon become a small town. . . .
' After the Buddha festival, we will make a financial statement. After deducting the expenses of road works, electricity poles and lightning rods, purchasing transformers, renting stage performances, comprehensive renovation of the Mya Sein Pagoda, catering expenses and general expenses, there is still more than (500) million. The gold, silver, jewelry and other valuables donated by donors have been donated to the Buddha temple, but the gold coins and the large amount of precious stones ( ) from the Chit Ti Wa Wa we have received have not been withdrawn from the Myanmar Economic Bank (SAFE BOX) in Kyaukse.
The monk said...
"Now... the school principal, we have thoroughly explained the collection, donations, and expenses, and we need to reconstitute the board of trustees for the future responsibilities. Now let's do it together."
"That's right, sir... I want the monk to continue as the chairman of the board of trustees. The secretary and members will be re-elected, sir."
"The secretary should be a school teacher."
"Oh my God... the secretary should be close to the chairman. Please give the disciple only one member's position." " Oh my God... how will they choose him?"
"My disciples have planned it, God. If the majority disagrees, they can openly object."
“The secretary will be U Than No, the chairman of Ohn Lak Kauk village, the treasurer will be U Than Phe, the head of Nanda Taung village, and the head of Nandi North village, U Hla Htun. I wanted to be the head of member (2), but because of the long distance, U Aung Than from Kon Thar village will be the head.”
"So what will the teacher do?"
“Since the disciple is away, I will act as a consultant. I would like to set up a (JOINT) system for withdrawing and depositing money in banking, and have the signatures of the chairman, secretary, and treasurer (3) to make withdrawals and deposits.” | The monk said ... A, “Now ... do you all agree?”
“Yes, sir.” “If you agree, the monk will give you the order. There is no problem with depositing money. If you want to withdraw money, call the school teacher and he will agree. In fact, this money was collected by the school teacher. Most of it is his donation, do you hear me?”
"Please, God."
After the meeting, it was decided to deposit the surplus money from the Buddha festival, which was over (500) million, in the bank the next day, and to lend money to houses that needed money for electricity at an interest rate of (8) percent, and to repay the harvest on time. The relevant village head and ten household heads decided to support the loan.
After all the business, we had lunch at the monastery, said goodbye to our abbot and the relevant elders, and then headed back to Mandalay. There were still matters to attend to, including the wedding of our daughter, Yun Pwint San, and the doctor's son, Zaw, and the construction of a new mansion in Pyin Oo Lwin, Moe Ma Kha.
That evening, after returning home to Mandalay, we rested well and discussed with my mother the wedding plans, the construction of the Moe Ma Kha mansion, and the trip to the Myeik Islands. The students went down to the courtyard and enjoyed a meal under the shade of the mango tree. Yun Pwint San and the young doctor Maung Zaw went to Maung Zaw's parents' house.
“Maung Maung... My daughter's wedding is planned at the Mandalay Hotel. There will be a dinner after the wedding ceremony.
"We will be staying at that hotel for (2) or (3) days. As for the construction of the new Moemakha mansion, please arrange it with Maung Mong."
“Well... I will rebuild the mansion with bricks to reduce the cost. The ironwork in the previous building was made in England, so it is very good and strong. It is not easy to buy that kind of thing again. I originally planned to rebuild it with a one-story house, but the construction engineer (R) Song Myaing House was demolished and there was a lot of ironwork left over, so he suggested building a two-story house.
Modern buildings no longer use bricks or wooden pillars, but instead use iron. So it will be stronger and faster. There will be a large living room in the middle of the upper and lower floors. The bedrooms will be 10 rooms, 5 on each side, facing east and west, with a circular corridor.
The same goes for the other side of the stairs, so there are (20) rooms on the top floor, (10) rooms. The rooms on the head side are a little narrow. Each room has a separate bedroom, living room, bedroom, bathroom, and toilet. The same goes for the downstairs, with a large living room and dining room.”
"Once the Moe Ma Kha Hotel issue is resolved and the wedding is over, we need to continue with our daughters' honeymoon. In Myeik, there is a police chief named Maung Maung Win, a friend of mine. There is a Myeik prison where students are housed. If you need help, you need to contact him in advance so that he can get it."
The next day, my students and I signed a contract with a well-known construction company in Mandalay, went to Pyin Oo Lwin, and handed over the entire project. The company quickly started implementing the project.
Recently, the wedding of my daughter Yun Pwint San and my doctor Maung Zaw was held in a grand and lavish manner at the Mandalay Hotel. Ma Maung and Maung Zaw’s families are the faces of Mandalay, so the wedding was very grand. My family was a family of friends from my Kyaukse town and the surrounding area. With over 1,000 guests, it was a very crowded wedding. The food was very good, and the dinner and reception were very nice.
