The Rome Front (I)

At the battlefield we cannot see each other.

There will be no witness in the darkness.

I cannot see who he is and so I don't feel strong dislike for him.

With the knife stabbed in the back I came to write this poem.

We can't see each other on the battlefield.

There is no evidence in the dark.

I don't feel sad anymore because I can't see people anymore.

I wrote this poem with a sword in my back.

When I was dethroned, I could do nothing but deal with the enemy.

Now, after seizing control of the palace, I do want to make you my queen.

But, you have committed adultery with the enemy.

Well, under the shadow of my throne, no Cleopatra calendar will be allowed to hang.

In my humble home life, I was engaged to the enemy.

After taking over the palace, I want to make you queen.

But you were married to an enemy.

Oh, I can't have Cleopatra's calendar hanging on my throne.

I'm nothing but a small European country town seeking small scores in the relegation zone, called Sisina.

The Rome Front

The Rome Front poems started from the unintentional scratches of a line or so while watching movies and reading books. Now happy and then sad I am on the course of writing. But I continued. This is the first serial poem I've ever written in my life. Unforgettable thanks must go to her who helped me find some facts.

Roman battlefield

Roman Battlefields began with a line or two that I accidentally scribbled while watching movies or reading books about battlefields. I enjoyed writing it. Sometimes it hurt. And so I continued writing.

This is the first poem series I have ever written in my life. I would like to express my special gratitude to "her" who helped me with some information.
