Marital troubles

Yan Aung

"If you encounter marital problems, it is bad for the couple. However, if you can capitalize on these marital problems and make a profit, it is good for the country and the people."

I am not saying the above in a broad, sweeping manner. I am simply drawing from lessons learned through real practical analysis and study.

"As the saying goes, 'many matters' are very large, but the responsibilities of marriage are very large. It is because of these many and varied matters that much trouble and suffering arise.

In marital problems, I do not want to consider only the cases of adultery, concubinage, and adultery as marital problems. Relationships, family, children, business, and financial problems are also good, and the lack of harmony between husband and wife, discomfort, illness, and death are all included in marital problems. For me, I had to divorce my first marriage because I did not behave properly, so is this separation from my wife and my beloved not also a marital problem?

My second wife, Manmanee, who was a young girl from a distant land, also died before my eyes, her face still young, and I had to go and look for her. Isn't that the fire of marital troubles that was so hot?

My current wife, my maternal uncle, my cousin... my mother... my father's daughter... I'm very confused because of the anger.

However... despite the marital troubles and the waves, I would like to highlight the good points.

About 5 years ago, I was adrift at sea due to the turmoil of my marriage and spent 7 days in a small village called Htan Tabin, near Insein. I managed to write 7 articles and a long magazine story in one go. I wondered if there was a reason for being able to write so much in so few days. No, the reason is that I was able to work like a machine because of the flames of marital troubles. | I will show you some notable examples of this saying.

I have heard that a great leader of our country, who has passed away, often had marital problems. I have heard that there were many times when he did not speak to his wife, and he did not love her, and he talked a lot.

I heard that just a day before his death, he had a falling out with his landlady and had to go to sleep in another place. However, he left behind many things that he had created and carried out for the world of literature, art, music, and all kinds of knowledge. I say that although the marital crisis was bad for the person concerned, it was good for the country.

The king of literature, Saya Pi Moe Ning, also experienced many marital troubles. Among the prominent examples of Saya Pi Moe Ning's marital troubles, the eldest son, Orasa Kyaw Soe, was killed by someone else's hand, leaving Pi Moe Ning homeless. After that, Kyaw Soe's mother became blind and miserable. That's not all. Saya Pi Moe Ning also had eternal suffering. That eternal suffering was due to the constant worry about making a living. In the midst of all these troubles, it is worth considering whether he could write continuously because of the suffering.

Take a look at some of the most famous marriage problems from around the world.

American President Lincoln is said to have been a man who always had marital problems and was looking for a home.

One can only imagine what a troubled homemaker Lincoln was, considering that a personal historian wrote, “Lincoln never had a single happy day in his twenty years of married life.”

Lincoln also wrote the following in a letter to a friend:

“Of all the suffering beings in this world, I am the most miserable. If the suffering that arises in my heart were to be distributed equally among all human beings, I believe that not a single person in this world would be happy. I do not want to live this life anymore. It is better to die than to live…”

Based on Lincoln's letter above, one can imagine the marital difficulties he was experiencing.

And that's not all. An eyewitness to Lincoln's ordeal once said, "Once, in the midst of a great audience... I don't want to tell you. Our great President was offered a bowl of hot tea by his wife... Our President never looked so happy, even when he said his bedtime prayer..."

Everyone knows that there are many details about the efforts of President Lincoln, who suffered so much from this hellish marital misery.
